Recap:
I couldn't text further as di pulled me n we were back home. N Trish is jumping n telling her meeting to all the family members n almost all the chawl members. After going into our house she continued her talks.
She told how well HE talked to her n how different HE is than wht the media n everyone talk about HIM n all. Everyone are happy but what disturbed me is the look I saw on my mom's face which I couldn't comprehend what.
Part 24
Here @ Aniket's place (Note: From now on any other character's side of story other than Madhu& RK…it will b from writers side not POV)
Almost everything in his room lay scattered n destroyed. He was in complete rage at the turn of events. He wanted Madhubala all for himself n wanted to get good impression n take it cool but when he saw them so close & in RK's embrace he lost it all. He actually never observed them this close until today. Today when he saw them in that lonely corridor romancing, he turned wild. Their closeness didn't settle well with him. All he wanted first is to separate Madhu from RK then he can play his cards coolly to get her all for himself.
Once Aniket thinks something he implements it at the same instance. And he did the same when he saw Madhu n her sister going into RK's vanity van and cleverly played his cards. Of course with the reputation RK has it's very easy to make his idea success. Hence he played it safe with her mother. Yep he already got all the information about Madhu n her weakness being her family it's easy for him to act smart.
He indirectly hinted her mother when he found her near some set waiting for Roma to finish her shoot so that they can go out for grocery shopping. So Aniket started his convo with one of his friends so that Padmini can listen…
Aniket: Arey yaar u know what!! There is going to b new gossip very soon!!
Aniket's Freind(AF): R u by chance talking about RK n his New film for which now he is the producer.
Aniket: Yep exactly. The new film which RK is doing that heroine is new n single. U know na RK never leaves any of his heroines n he has affairs with all those girls who r single n uncommitted. N this new girl is innocent, new n single so he won't leave a chance. He is showing very interest on this girl coz she is refreshing like breeze.
AF: I too listen that he actually rejected to b co producer coz the terms are not as per his wish n also he is showing too much of interest in making this film as romantic as possible.
Aniket: Of course he will. Till now he acted with either models or established stars or known faces. This girl is new n completely unaware of this industry. So he can take advantage in every possible way.
AF: n how does u know she is not committed? She may b having boyfriend or lover who knows?
Aniket: The interest RK is showing in this girl is enough to know her status. If she is seriously committed he could've least bothered about her n would've gone with any other star for an affair. Everyone knows his reputation with girls & his co-stars. Any way let's go my work is done here.
Yep Aniket is very sure now that his work is done coz the faded colors n paleness of padmin's face is enough proof for the success of the plan. Of course he know that Madhu's family think about their reputation n daughter's life coz being middle class family, they always think about society n can't afford some one pointing fingure at their daughter's character n will think about some way or othr to not get into this mess. Now he is very sure seperation of RK & Madhu is almost on cards.He is done with his first step. Once he is 100% sure n confirm his success he will use step 2...i.e impress her family n get close to her.
(Back to Madhu's House n Madhu's POV)
To b true I was bit upset & feared mom's expression at didu's excitement n the news she is sharing. I was confused! why mom was not happy like everyone seeing di? But shrugged thinking she is too tired coz of work n shopping. So I relaxed a bit n engrossed myself in the conversation. Everyone talked about their day n experiences they face.
I told them about my launch even and shooting @Goa. All asked me when am I going to stop going to parlour. I said may b I will bid them goodbye in this week only coz my film schedule is almost confirm n I have to give them the prior notice so that they can look for my replacement. But if they want me there for this week I have to b there. I can't ditch them suddenly.
All r happy with my decision n woth ethics. Till now mom was completely in thinking mode, like taking some decision. She suddenly asked me about my future plans as now all my old plans gone waste.
Mom: Madhu, now that u were out of ur planned dreams what r u going to do now?
Me: Maa, Except for my dream job all will b as it is. Now that I will get my pay cheque in very few days may b b4 we go to Goa. Then I will buy a house then will think after that.
Mom: But Madhu I want u to get engaged b4 u will b known to the world as a heroine.
She said it Out of blue and I felt the ground below my feet slipped n I am falling in deep pit. No this can't b happening. I think I am listening things. Mom didn't say that. I am still assessing what I listen. But mom continued confirming my worst nightmare.
Padmini:Yes Madhu. I want u to b engaged. I gave a thought about this from many hours.
B4 I can say or react Shammu said
SM: PadminiJi. What r u talking? Thinking from hours? Is it any game to take haste decision? And how can we think of Madhu when Trish is there who is older?
Pad: Malik, I am not making any haste decisions. I thought about it a lot. We will do engagement now n with in an year after her movie is comleted we can marry her off. In mean time we will get a good rishta for Trishna n we can marry them both off on the same day if possible or first Tirshna n then Madhu
Trish: But mom I don't wanna marry soon. I have my dreams n also Gudiya is just 23 n she is just entering into this entertainment world. How can u thing like this
Pad: That's the main problem Trishna. She is entering the entertainment world which is not as entertaining as it seems. N I don't want my daughters suffer like many heroines. Many have to settle with second marriages. I don't want that to ay of u.
Trish: But mom everyone are not same.
Pad: But majority are same. No more arguments Trishna n u too Mailk. I want ur support. Plz don't argue n try to understand from a mother's POV. Also u r more worried about these two more than me. Think about it.
In all this I am totally numb. All I could think of was HIM. How can I live with anyone else? Will HE ever let me go? More than that will I be able to take it if HE let me go? So many questions but no answers. All I want now is to just hide myself in HIS embrace away from everyone n all these confusions. Everything is fine till I was with HIM but now suddenly I am losing HIM. I was back from my reverie with Shammu's Voice.
SM: PadminiJI, first tell us ur fear then we can think. Also we have to search for groom who will b eligible for our Madhu.
I so want to listen what's the reason behind this sudden decision of maa. N she told about the fears she has coz of HIS reputation. But what I didn't get is why this sudden decision after almost a week n half n not on the first or second day? Who could've been the reason of this sudden fear. I will kill them with my bare hands. But now I really want to c HIM. I remember HIS 8'o clock words. I want to skip it earlier but now I want HIM n HIS assurance of everything will b good.
SM: Ok u may b right in one way but how are u going to get a guy who is good suitable to Madhu.
Pad: u rememberOur family friend Usha! Her son Mukund. He is good guy n also from same community n r very near. They are completely suitable for us in every aspect.
SM: But now Madhu has a standard n they won't suit her.
Pad: But we are going to tie them b4 that standard ruins any of us.
They all r talking about this without taking my decision into consideration n I sat there lost in my thoughts about HIM. But Shammu turned to me n asked
SM: Gudiya, what happened? Why r u so lost. Talk something. I will b there to support ur decision. Ur mom may b fearing too much but she is not so wrong, coz I myself saw so many live examples in this industry. But tell us what u r thinking. N u know what ever may b our decision, it will b only in interest of ur well being. Do u trust us?
That's it now I can never say no. of course I trust them with my life. But what about this idiot heart which now started beating only for HIM. So I have to buy time b4 this. So I got the best idea ever so that I don't hurt anyone. N blurted
Me: But I think marriage in one yr is impossible.
Everyone looked at me in confusion. So I continued with a bit confidence. All I know is I have to act fast
Me: I told u about the contract. It's a 3 yr contract I can't violate that. U people know this new trend with production houses. So I can't commit to any other relations being busy for all these three years. N u know no one will wait that long.
Pad: If that is ur worry no probs. If they can wait these many yrs then they can wait for few more yrs.
Now that's news for me. So she explained about this alliance from long back for Trish. But due to astrological problems it was set to my neck. I have nothing more to say but to run out on the pretext of walk to get rid of these talks n to meet HIM. Everyone r ok with my going out as all know it's difficult for me to digest this sudden news.
I literally ran out it's already 8:20. He may b waiting for me. But to my dismay no one are there in the park. I was completely shattered with this. I expected HIM to there but seems like HE too left. Without having strength I settled in the dark corner of the park under the tree where no one can find me coz of the fencing n bushes.
