I am venturing a guess here. But maybe SP had Plans A, B and C ready to go. They waited, negotiated, tried whatever, and most importantly waited for SPL to get over. SPl was done...no other option seemed to work. They put Plan C into action. It seems to have come as a shock for everyone..so I don't think the cast and crew knew about this beforehand.

Tell me about it! I was fairly inactive on IF will Sept. or so. Since the DKS track, I have been drawn into all of this mess. I was seriously considering confiding my obsession with the show (more like I am a glutton for torture when it comes to IPK, it seems) to a friend of mine that happens to be a clinical psychologist! I know, I need help. Which is why, I am glad the end of the show is near and hopefully, I can go back to being sane again... That's if I don't have any long term damages from IPk.
Regarding the plans... Maxine, I dunno. Its unfathomable that a large corporation would take any decision in haste! At the very least, the channel and PH knew. The cast may have been clueless! Today it appears, SP just laid a gift at Barun's doorstep and asked him to clean up!
I was one of Barun's bashers... This off screen drama has made me moderate. 😆
