Like it's been mentioned, the writers aren't to blame as much as the channel since it's most definitely the channel pressuring the writers. When I say "CVs", I include the channel. Just clarifying.
But yeah, what's disturbing is how, one one hand, the CVs claim to take a stand against DV while, on the other hand, they use the abuser as the promotional face of the channel. Look at their FB statuses and Twitter statuses -- they're all about "will V lose Jahnvi forever?" It's ludicrous. V's loss? Isn't Sia the one getting stabbed? Isn't Raghav the one losing the very woman that he sacrificed everything for? Isn't Uma and Choti and Dadi the ones losing the daughter of their house -- again?
Why is it that V is promoted so much? Why is it that the abuser is made the ruler of a show that should be ruled by the victim and the force of good? Why is it that evil is always shown one step ahead of everyone else? Why is it that V should be shown torturing people, go as far as attempting murder and committing rape, and then be given a redemption track just so that they can retain his character?
Every track up until now and in the future revolves around V.
