After reading 'Operation is successful' i.e. Manvi is cured from cancer, my mind went in flashback mode and I ended up remembering the first episode where Jeevika is telling a hyper Manvi to calm down since she has had fever since the past few days. The cancer hasn't just been part of the show, it's been at the core of it and now that track is over completely...after 1 year almost. It was about how Jeevika will light Manvi's diya. Though they have completely disrespected the disease medically but one cannot deny that it was one of the USPs of this show. I know most will be happy that Manvi is free from it but it almost feels like an end of an era. I'm not quite sure if I'm entirely satisfied with how it concluded. I do know that there were many scenes which I wished to see which will only left to my imagination now but it gives an empty feeling now.

The show never really had sub-plots because it had one main plot so now it's going to take some time to get used to the fact that no-one is hiding or fearing Manvi's cancer. Now it's a completely new chapter...

Anyone else getting that strange feeling 🤔

I do agree on the USP point, because I haven't been across any other show in Indian Television history that has gone so deep into cancer if not any other killer disease. The real emotions, the bald scenes, they were so real which got the show a lot of attention from the media as well as the viewers.
TBH, I too feel the cancer track isn't ending on a justifiable note. But again, somewhere and some how I am glad it ended. Becasue in between I felt as though the creatives were dragging the plot, just to get attention. So I'm pretty much happy that it's finally coming to and end.

This whole cancer track completely sucked, they didn't even handle it properly. Im glad that this track ended rreally have had enough of this behna's tyaag 👎🏼 and hope that the CVs dont ignore the fact that their are other people in the show.
Now hope that VirMan do get more screen space!

Thanks for the post Reema.

I myself had been wondering for a few days, once the cancer track is over, what is left? What are we left with? Like you pointed out, cancer has been the crux of the show from day 1, so now that we're done with it, what's left? Yes, we do have the impending JeeMaan confrontation and the impending VirMaan wedding, but what?

I admit there were moments where the CVs didn't do justice to the disease and the medical terms and stuff. But yet again, they did manage to get into the intricacies. They ventured into details like baldness, something that not many people would want to do/enact.

Truly this is gonna be the start of an entire new chapter. If this show was made in the west, it would probably have been the start of an entire new season.

Thanks for the lovely post once again!

It wasn't just this episode but I think they missed out a lot of things which they could have included during this cancer track but due to the drag and ignorance, I think people started losing connect hence the rush.

@Bold: Agree completely. They started dragging it when they kept it in the background and ended up ignoring it. I guess it was best to end it now because I don't think they could do a better job within their ambit to be honest.

I don't think it sucked at all. It just left me slightly dissatisfied! No comments on the 'Behna's tyaag' because in all seriousness, one did give up their unborn to save her sister. It's a pretty big deal!

They did do a fair job of showing the emotional upheaval a patient and their close ones go through and though the medical bloopers were galore, they delved deeper in to the medical side than I've seen any other Indian show go in to.

I would really love to see the other characters moving the story forward to. Swamini Bua especially had much more potential at the beginning but now she's only limited to her taunts. I am curious to see what the story from here on will be but at the same time it gives me an empty feeling too.
