Dull shrieks of the phone broke the calm of the house. Mournful silence had engulfed the once joyful house.
"Hello" a soft, melodious voice answered the phone breaking the silence in the house.
The call was short but as the girl replaced the receiver her hands shook giving away the fear that coursed through her.
"Amma... I will be right back."

He stood at the base of the stairs. Life would come a full circle. He had met her here and today he would make her his. He folded his hands in front of Devi Mayya claiming her blessings for his tryst. Would she support him?
