OS | The Dress

Part One

Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada was not a coward.

No.

In fact, she was far from a coward. She was probably one of the bravest women one would ever come across.

I mean, she alone had conquered the stone-hearted ASR.

She looked at herself proudly in the mirror; head held high as she laughed cheekily to herself at the very thought of her husband, who a year ago would have rather eaten his own eyeball then 'fall in love.'

Her face suddenly fell as she scanned her attire in the mirror for the millionth time that evening. Slumping back down on to the bed, she frowned - chin resting on her hands.

She didn't feel so brave right now.

She looked down at her barely covered self as she shuddered.

Don't get her wrong. She thought she looked amazing, and surprisingly it was comfortable. Light and airy - perfect for the humid weather of Delhi.

It's just... she had never worn anything like this before. She had never felt so exposed in all her life. And she's the one who had to bear the blazing, sinful eyes of Arnav Singh Raizada. 'The eyes that could practically undress me in a matter of seconds,' she thought begrudgingly as she sighed to herself

'Damn you Di'

Khushi and Anjali had gone shopping that afternoon and Khushi had unwittingly told her that she and Arnav were going out for a meal that evening.

The look on Anjali's face was priceless, but dangerous for Khushi. You could literally see her mind ticking away deviously as she dragged Khushi to a shop she had never been in before - full of western clothes. Figures! She had plainly refused to let Khushi play with Anaya till she bought the dress and shoes.

'Fine Di!'

Khushi's face had shown every bit of the exasperation she felt. 'Trust Di to withhold valuable bonding time with my own niece!'

Anjali had laughed with glee all throughout the rest of the shopping trip and the journey home.

'Chote won't know what's hit him'

Khushi mustered up, once again, a new found confidence and looked at herself in the mirror, again - determined not to let her wayward thoughts bring her down.

She did like the dress.

It was a sheer, one shouldered dress that fell mid-thigh; a cross between dark brown and purple. The soft material felt amazing against her creamy skin. Her feet were adorned with tan coloured peep-toe platforms; a belt to match was tied around her waist.

It's not like she looked like a tramp. No. She admittedly looked extremely classy; her hair elegantly tied up in to a loose, messy bun - a few stray strands framing her nerve-racked face.

But... A dress!

What the hell would he even say?! I mean, she knew how much he liked seeing her in a saree. He loved the way her waist was on show - easy access for his eyes... and his hands. She blushed violently at her musings as they rapidly became shameless. This dress though... She had no idea how he would react this time. 'Come to think of it, Lavanyaji always used to wear these kinds of dresses, but Arnavji was never attracted to her. Not really anyway.' Knowing her luck, he'd probably throw up at the sight of her, with a side helping of a good telling-off! Her stomach churned at these last thoughts - her nerves were reaching breaking point.

It's not like she expected him to whisper sweet nothings in to her ear and whisk her off her feet. She didn't even want that. Her Arnavji was still the same man as before - brooding, angry and demanding. They still fought over every little thing. She'd still annoy him with her paagal antics. He wasn't romantic. No, not at all. That wasn't him. But there wasn't a day that went by that she didn't realise how much he loves her - that was plain for her to see. He was quite simply... hers. She smiled goofily as she nearly tripped up in her enormous heels.

'Hey Devi Maiyya... Lavanyaji yeh sab kaise pehenti thi'

'This is ridiculous' she finally said, throwing her hands in the air as she screamed in frustration. He would have to either like it, or go to hell! These final ramblings died in the air surrounding her as she caught sight of the figure leaning on the door frame. She closed her eyes tightly, bracing herself, knowing full well she was about to feel the humiliation of a thousand people.

'I'm so dead!'

Arnav Singh Raizada was a man of very few words

This was a well known fact.

But as he gazed upon his wife muttering to herself in the mirror, he was quite literally... Without words.

He had come home from the office, his mood lifting considerably with every step he took towards their room at the thought of seeing his wife. He was tired yes, but he couldn't wait to spend the evening with Khushi. He sighed to himself as he realised what had become of him. 'A f**king love-struck husband!' He chucked silently as he shook his head at the irony of it all.

In reality, he hadn't changed that much. No... He just couldn't live without her.

Arnav went to open the door to their room, but in his thoughts, he hadn't realised that the door was already open.

He was about call out to her when he spotted her.

His wife, Khushi... Was wearing a dress.

Anyone could see that she was beautiful; to Arnav in particular she was she most beautiful. But this? This took her beauty to another level. It knocked down the previous levels and built itself a new one under a whole other meaning of beautiful. Her legs. Her luscious legs that were seemingly endless in those heels. His mind instantly reverted back to thoughts of those very legs wrapped around his torso as she screamed out his name... again and again. He smirked inwardly as his eyes examined every other part of his near-perfect wife.' She's full of surprises... the little minx.' Lost in a raging trance, he almost didn't hear her as the silence was finally broken.

'Wh- What do you think? Kaisa Laga? I, I just thought I'd try something different.'

She twirled around slightly, her hands nervously wringing together as beads of sweat started to accumulate at the bridge of her forehead. She sounded almost hysterical.

He shook his head and growled.

'It looks horrible'

His husky voice was laced with an undeniable passion. 'I guess I made the right decision' she thought happily to herself, mentally patting herself on the back. This happiness was short-lived however as she realised that she had inadvertently unleashed her husband in all his glory. She gulped as he lazily lifted himself off the door frame and started to step towards her. The butterflies had, by now, gathered in her stomach and were swiftly moving downwards, those familiar sensations resurfacing - The ones that would always leave her body reeling with pleasure.

'It doesn't suit you at all'

She didn't even have the courage to move, she just stood there - as if her heels had melted; stuck to the floor. Her breathing grew heavy as he saw him coming even closer; her lips quivering slightly as she struggled for air. He smirked again as he saw her chest heaving up and down, giving him an enticing view of her delectable mounds. He loved the effect he had on her. Every single time. He could never tire of her.

'This dress...'

He grabbed her waist as he finally reached her and pulled her roughly towards him, his hand reaching up to the side of her dress - his thumb grazing her taut breast in the process. His lips traced her ear as he whispered to her.

'...needs to go'

An involuntary shiver travelled through her as his hungry eyes scorched her whilst he unzipped her; the dress falling to the floor.
