Giving it a chance

One question bugs me when I come to the forum most days these days... Why do we keep looking at the immediate future as black all the time for Gopi without enjoying the present? I had to get this out and it is a Sunday.. Basically I do have the time to out this together and not worry about time😉

One thing that I accepted when I watched SNS is that it does not have super fast tracks. It will not play right to my sense of justice. But then I do like it.. It is a daily soap. They cannot always take the story forward and finish things... Taking that with a pinch of salt, it has been a good experience till now. I have enjoyed..

The forum always had it share of predictions but of late, whenever there is a promo or a segment there has been nothing but talks of Gopi crying and everyone hating the development.. The question is why do we think that it is so bad without even giving the piece a chance? Sorry it really baffles me..

- This is a story of Gopi's journey in life. Her perspective. No wonder it shows her developing from being a scared woman under her maami to getting married to a rich household to her cousin's KK against her to her husband's hatred, then concern, care and love to the entry of her past..

When we know it is Gopi's journey, it is obvious that the journey will not be in a bed of roses.. The fact that Gopi gets her love after undergoing pain is what makes the journey's end sweeter. If Gopi gets everything quickly then why would there be a story?
Take this Anitha track for instance.. RIght from day one we give it no chance. A part of it id due to fear of how Anitha is going to come between Ahem and Gopi.. But it is obvious that she has been brought in for the same..😕 So why do we not enjoy the track to see what Gopi has in store?

If we are against the length of the track, then we should be used to it by now.. SNS is slow.. It is a fact.. The reason I am writing this is the new promo and the way we have taken it.

Last week was so full of positives..
- Ahem has clearly shown how much Gopi means to him. He has also made his intentions clear by the kiss and saving his wife.
- Anitha knows the truth of her broken marriage and we will now get to see her play a role that will eventually be good for GoHem

- My most fav.. Gopi for the first time felt possessive about Ahem. That she recognized it but is filled with guilt showed what a pure soul she is and how much trust she has in Ahem.

- Koki knows the truth and is in the mix
And last but not least, they may be actually starting to redeem Rashi😲

So many positives, yet we decide that Ahem's shout in the precap is the only one worth talking about.. No offense but that is just one scene. We do not know the reason behind it yet, so why jump the gun and go all sad?
If the question is as to why only Gopi should cry and fight, the answer is that this is Gopi's journey.. Not Ahem's or Anitha's or Koki's.. .All others are just players and Gopi is the protagonist.. No wonder everything is from PoV..

I get that we have been waiting for Ahem to confess verbally or make Gopi his.. But the wait has been nice.. We have seen the story develop nicely and are at a point where this new experience Gopi will undergo will make it sweeter as Ahem tells her of his love.. It will be sweet for Gopi as for us.. Sweet for her as she finds how much her wait has come to fruition and sweet for us to see a love story.. For as Tina says, "there is no gain without pain"😛

It is just that it seems that instead of taking it and enjoying the soap we have fallen into making even the beautiful moments sad.. Just my PoV.. and I did want to get it out..

Why don't we give the track a chance to play out? Take the tears and see what is actually happening? The treat of getting to see Gopi/Ahem send Anitha out of their lives will be well worth it...

Nice post harini. Truly the forum is just filled with negativity these days and I think the reasons behind it are
Gohem confession being dragged for too long. Personally I am not liking it at all. I know they have to drag some things but two years is sufficient time for uniting the couple and there is still no time limit about when it will come

Falling trps are definitely discouraging. We didn't have this kind of environment here when SNS was on top and we digested all the crap easily. Somewhere its the fear of show getting horribly low numbers and the show getting axed anytime

promos are really really misleading except couple of things, everything is different in show than promo. We build high hopes on promo and it turns something else and sometimes the promo is so bad that we don't want to keep any hope😆

even somewhere this track is heart clenching...bringing tears...bringing trp down but I had always found this track to be positive...as this track will be a turning point in gohem life in realisation of true love...
we are sometimes feel the scene to be hated as Cv have not be able to put the concept properly in front of us...but the logic behind this track is optimistic

Yes you are right ... lets give this track a chance ... I really love the gohem scene where ahem's toe is bleeding... that was nice.

I do agree Maddy that the confession is taking time.. But hopefully when it does come it will be well worth it.. Even though it is not the sole reason, but I think IPL also took its toll..As well as working around Nazim's schedule..
Now if the confession came without a final heart wrenching cry, then it will not be SNS😉 Like ihe time when Ahem helped Gopi during the education track, I think the confession will also come at a least expected moment.. And hopefully TRPs will raise again..
The promos are just promos.. So there is no worry there😛

Harini. That is such a good post. Hats off to you for stating the obvious. True this is Gopi's journey and she will bear with whatever is thrown her way and come out of it a stronger, wiser and more assured person. I suppose we are in the habit of putting ourselves in Gopi's place and are feeling her pain as our own because we have developed an infinity to her. Either way it can't be good for us but we have waited so long for the Gohem love story to move further and stronger that we are too impatient and want desperately baby bird, Anita to vamoos from mm.
