Totally an episode worth watching again ... and again ... and again
Power-packed!!

Performances

Barun and Sanaya: mind blowing performances!
CVs: Thank you for not bringing in the theft and police scenario. Many thanks for focusing on Arnav's bond with GH-ians.
Dialog writers: Having a field day, guys! Really going good!

Progress Points

1. Arnav's bond with GH-ians
2. Khushi and Arnav again experience the Wall of Lack of Understanding that led to the MU in the first place
3. Shyam has yet not progressed with the key - is something critical yet to take place before Shyam can be let loose in Arnav's room?

Favorite Scene

I was going to say Arnav barricading Khushi out again, but then, I had to change my mind - It was Arnav trying to please Khushi the ASR way
LOVED him staring at her over the cup of tea, nearly laughing, which is an achievement for ASR

Arnav & Khushi

1. What a pattern!

Hurt -> Guilt -> Make up -> Hurt -> Apology -> Hurt back -> Hurt back back -> Apology -> Make up -> Rabba Veeey - e - e - e - e – e - Rabbba Vey, O, O Rabbbaaa Vey!

And then, *Ding Ding Ding* Get ready for another round!

2. Free Guilt trip for ASR

Yo, buddy! We tried to warn you, but of course, ASR knows it all. Why would you listen to us mediocre people, after all you're the Brain!

Dear Brainy, just because she delays your bath, does not make her a thief. Just because she is middle-class, does not make her a gold-digger. Just because she plays pranks, does not make her a liar. Just because she was seen in suspicious circumstances, does not make her a house-breaker.

So, well, thankfully, umm... ASR can make the police run into action and actually catch the culprit and find all the spare parts as well. That is something the government has not been able to do. Perhaps, we should vote ASR for President.

And yes, the first thing that strikes him is – 'Shucks! I called her a thief!'
Hold that emotion, Buddy! It's gonna come in handy not so long from now. In fact, it'll probably work wonders for your one and only love situation, or at least Fandom hopes so!

Well, it was precious to see you all bothered over calling the love of your life a thief and a greater one of discovering that you were wrong - a pain that you cannot and would not show. If Khushi has to understand this pain, it has to be on her own. ASR does not open up his heart to anyone. Khushi will need to breakthru the fortress somehow.

3. Money shortage at GH
Arnav was hardly through the guilt of blaming Khushi for something she did not do, when he overhears the conversation with the groceries man. Arnav remembers what this family has done for him ever since he's arrived. Though Arnav never meant to hurt anyone, he realizes that unknowingly and unintentionally, he's troubled them.

It was a typical Arnav thing to do - to quietly go and get the kitchen supplies. In fact, it seems he's done the thing enough to last them several months. It was so much that GH had less space.

Initially, it was an embarrassing thing for GH-ians and for Khushi, who felt that this was yet another example of his insensitivity where he does well for someone and totally overlooks its impact on the one who receives. However, there a beautiful surprise in store.

4. ASR you scored a boundary!

'Why can't I get it? I'm the son-in-law of this house.'

The way Arnav did it this time had more to do with his feelings, than with his mind. (Usually, even in the display of feelings, his brain plays a larger part - this is one of the few times, when he put the brain on the backseat.)

He did it as though, being a son-in-law, it was not only his duty, but his right to do it for his family. They are no longer Khushi's family. In his heart, they are his family. After all they have done for him, being sensitive to his needs and allowing him things they could not even afford, Arnav has shown who he is. He's allowed his coconut inside to show up in front of them. This is a side of him that even the family at RM does not get to see very often. Arnav can go to any lengths for his family. The last time he was in this soft mode, was probably when he was going against his brain to get Akash his heart's desire of marrying the girl he loved.

He was speaking his heart, not his mind.

Khushi's stance changed in a second when she heard this. She looked at him with new eyes. She felt the bonding once more. She felt the care and the consideration he was giving back to her family.

5. 'I eat a lot and you feed me a lot.'

That was such a precious thing to say, Arnav, and that too in response to Buaji being concerned over the quantity of the supplies. Such an endearing thing! You're winning hearts, Buddy!

Your father-in-law sure loves you!

6. And then, Khushi did it again.

We grant it that Khushi was only trying to make the bond stronger. She knows that he misses his mother. What she did not know was that his mom was a raw nerve, which she touched.

'At least try calling her Amma once.'

It is evident that hurting Arnav was not her intention. Khushi did not once ask Arnav to call her father as Bauji. She saw on the day after the wedding that Nani referred to his father and Arnav cringed. She's also seen Arnav missing his mother.

It seems as though, perhaps, Khushi was trying to help his need for a mother-figure in his life. By calling her Mom, Amma, perhaps, Arnav would feel that he has a mother too. The poor girl was, perhaps, only trying to bring him relief.

Earlier on, she may have been feeling that he's not calling Garima as Amma because of his status, or their 6 month marriage. She may also have been feeling that perhaps Garima and Shashi would be hurt somewhere that he did not think of her as his mother. However, when he acted out of his right as a son-in-law, it gave her courage to relate to that statement and the emotion behind it, to push him on.

Again, earlier the way she asked him to call her Amma was an arrogant manner. This time, her manner was different. She was trying to strengthen the bond between Arnav and her family.

A good intention went bad in execution.

Khushi - unknowingly and unintentionally - touched a raw nerve. She never meant to hurt him. She has never ever meant to hurt him.

It was again endearing that the GH ladies didn't even want to know Arnav's reason. They just allowed him to be as he was.

Khushi got it from her family for irritating Arnav, but her focus was on Arnav's pain. She saw he was pain. She has seen this pain before when she was trying to sympathize with him, only to see him erupt.

7.'Just stop it. I have no mother. My mother is dead.'

Arnav's old wound ripped up again. His pain was palpable. It hit the GH-ians well. It hit Khushi well too.

He goes into his room and his memories flood his being again. What would he express his anger except on the cheap machhar-daani. He tries to immerse himself in work.

When Khushi enters to apologize, Arnav hasn't really had time to get over the anger. Her apology does not really get through. He makes it clear that she cannot understand how he feels and she should not even try to say that. Her second attempt is quashed even before it starts.

The Great Wall of Lack of Understanding comes up - You don't understand and I won't listen to you.

8. And then, he did it again.

As usual, Arnav speaks way more than he should, and immediately realizes that he hurt her. Instant Regret!

'As it is I am staying with you and your family in your cheap house...'

Khushi - goes back to the Level of Understanding that existed before the 'I-am-the-son-in-law' Bill of Rights. Her speech on what is real life outside RM hits in all the right places.

And there comes the explanation: Khushi, I didn't mean it that way!

Umm, Arnav, Buddy! You meant it exactly that way. It's just that while in your head it didn't sound as bad, but it did sound horrendous when spoken. You actually meant that you were doing her a favor by allowing your Royal Highness-self to stay with her cheap-self in her cheap house. In fact, the way you said it implied that you were doing her an honor for which she must be eternally grateful to you. Tch, tch!

Khushi responds by raising a very legitimate concern -

If he is angry with her, she understands. He is right in being angry with her. She too has many reasons to be angry with him. However, she's never let it come down on his family, and would never. But then, he's done this several times.

I LOVED the fact that Khushi owned that if Arnav was angry with her, he was right in being so. I LOVE the spirit of this girl. She is so true and honest and forthright - part of the reason she doesn't go down well with Arnav's belief system, who does not believe people can be like she is, so he attributes it to acting-nice-to-gain-attention-and-approval syndrome.

The fact, however, is that he was hurt and so he her hurt back.
Still, the point Khushi brings up is so valid that Arnav is left speechless. He has no retort left in his ammunition bag. Actually, perhaps, his own realization that he hurt her again stopped him from retorting, even if he had anything to say against her.

9. Two Insufferable Know-it-Alls!

Now, both Arnav and Khushi are hurt. Both wanting to come to terms, apologize and make up. Both unwilling to talk things out. Both believing that their point of view is correct. Both unwilling to see it any other way. Both expecting the other to understand, while conceding that the other would never understand.

Fandom: *mutters* nutters, idiots... total nutcases when it comes to love... dummies!

It is the wonder of love that when such a pain strikes either of the two, they overlook the misunderstanding and the circumstances, and rush to comfort the other. The moment Khushi realized she hurt him, she forgot her situation and went to apologize and comfort him. I'm pretty positive that if one of Khushi's family members becomes ill, Arnav would forget everything and comfort her immediately.

It's a pity that Love alone does not bring Understanding and Trust; that is a job for Experience. So while love for each other fluttered its way into their hearts; Alas, Understanding and Trust have the tedious effort to climb step-by-step on the ladder of Experiences. Thankfully, for them that, at least, experiences abound (if nothing else). The rich bank of Experiences should be sufficient to fall back on in times of emotional recession.

10. So, Arnav again got something in the way of saying sorry. Of course, he got it for everyone. Mass apology is needed.

LOVED Arnav's apology to Amma and Buaji. He accepted that Khushi was right in saying what she did, but he could not call anyone 'Mother'.

It was so honest and endearing.

LOVED the reaction from Buaji and Garima - how they accepted his need and him just as he was, without making it more difficult for him. Literally accepted him with open arms. LOVED Buaji's gesture when she stepped to him, instantly putting him at ease.

LOVED the relief on his face when they understood and respected his feelings. LOVED that his eyes showed a new respect for the GH ladies.

LOVED how Buaji covered up for Khushi, saying 'She is crazy'. LOVED how Arnav smiled – 'Yeah, She is crazy. Tell me about it!'

Arnav keeps getting stuff at GH. He rarely does something like this at RM.

11. But with your Wifey, forgiveness is not coming that easy, Buddy. How well you know her, isn't it. She cannot resist gol-gappe!

Arnav, you scored a Six!

Of course Khushi was ecstatic when she saw the table full of something spicy. She didn't wait for nobody and dug right in. or that was what she meant to do till Buaji announced that it was her dear Hubby who brought them. And then, perhaps, the first time in Khushi's life, she dropped it like a hot potato!

Arnav was rather shocked that she denied it.

12. Thoda Khatta, thoda meetha, thoda teekha [a bit sour, a bit sweet, a bit sharp]

LOVED Khushi's brilliant excuses of why she did not want it and how it affected her bad. But Khushi is Khushi.
On the pretext of having just one, she picked up the paper plate and dived right in.

LOVED Arnav's smile from behind his cup of tea – 'Ah! There she goes. Now, not very long! I knew it. She can't resist for long.'

13. All roads lead to Rabba-Vey

But what followed was probably something even Arnav wasn't prepared for.
Perhaps, he expected her to give in - but the gusto with which she gave in, made him forget everything else. Suddenly, gol-gappe was the best thing in the world. Her zeal for a simple snack reminded him why he fell for her innocent, unusual ways.

A gol-gappe flavored Rabba-vey followed.

He SO loves her. Even Khushi saw the drastic change in the way he looked at her. Though, he looked like he was on the verge of laughing at her antics again, but the love and awe that he had in his eyes, his smile, his expression - all screamed - I love you, Khushi!

Others

1. I was waiting for it - GH supporting Arnav, just as RM supports Khushi.

2. I'm falling in love with the GH-ians.
LOVED the way Buaji, Amma and Bauji have accepted Arnav. They have taken a much wiser approach with Arnav, letting him be. Something Khushi could never do. It has allowed him to see their sensitive and caring approach for him. But then, perhaps, because Khushi does not let him be, is part of why he loves her.
LOVED that they welcomed him into their lives and put him at ease.

3. Shashi sure loves Arnav.

4. From NK's camcorder to Bubbly's camera. Bubbly's cut Payal out from the family

On the Lighter Side

1. Arnav actually said a silent 'What the --!' during Khushi's speech.

2. LOVED Arnav's expression when Khushi tears the Gol-Gappe packet with her mouth and spits out the plastic end.

3. Mami Jaan: sacred kar di… [You made me sacred]
Bubbly: scared...

4. Mami Jaan: if it's your chic pics, the albomb would explode.

5. Laxmi actually smiled

6. Akash needs serious dose of Bournevita and Payal needs an extra special dose
They're becoming experts at ignoring the obvious - apparently trying to challenge the current champion, Anjali. Besides, they are getting diabetically-sweet now.

Precap

A neighbor comes to stay at GH, following Khushi's suggestion.
GH-ians are not so ready because Arnav is visiting.
For some reason, he shouts that he's okay with it. Either he wants to make it up to them or he's something else.
Khushi seems to have another idea!

Just a thought, where would the neighbor's guest stay?
One bedroom is occupied by Bauji and Amma.
One is taken by Buaji. (Not sure where she sleeps, though)
One is with Khushi-Arnav. (Originally belonged to Khushi and Payal)
So, the one left out is the one that was Shyam's ex-room.

Progress Points

1. Arnav's bond with GH-ians -- Yeah!! Now that was a completely new side of ASR explored :) Brought a smile onto faces, the subtlety with which he said sorry , the purchase of rations , him going back on all those instances when they had been ultra-nyc to him , Showed signs of the changing ASR :)
2. Khushi and Arnav again experience the Wall of Lack of Understanding that led to the MU in the first place. --Those lines of Khushi when inside the room were phenomenal , brought a tear ! And that was quite a relief from all the usual OTT-ness, showed some real signs of the MU clearing process taking a step forward!
3. Shyam has yet not progressed with the key - is something critical yet to take place before Shyam can be let loose in Arnav's room?

Shyam's creep qualities seem to have taken shape in the Bubbly gal! :P With her so not bubbly antics!

Favorite Scene

I was going to say Arnav barricading Khushi out again, but then, I had to change my mind - It was Arnav trying to please Khushi the ASR way
LOVED him staring at her over the cup of tea, nearly laughing, which is an achievement for ASR (yeah that was PHENOMENAL!! One of those times when Rabba Ve totally fits in the settings, loved the way he hid his smile behind the teacup and then went on to staaare at her despite her catching him looking😳😆)

On the Lighter Side

1. Arnav actually said a silent 'What the --!' during Khushi's speech. Reallyy ? GOTTA check on the episode again!

2. LOVED Arnav's expression when Khushi tears the Gol-Gappe packet with her mouth and spits out the plastic end. 😆Yeah thaat was one awesome look , the look-replica of "What the "

5. Laxmi actually smiled ---😆😆😆 Haha good one!!

lovely analyisis! 😊
loved the epi today! Arnav and Khushi's hurt and pain was protrayed really well..
Also, it was great to see the gupta ladies accepting Arnav as their own and bonding with him. Arnav realized that they have done a lot for him, and he tried to give it back to them in his own way.He apologized to them cuz he felt he might have hurt them. Loved how he brought gol gappay for all of them. Its like he has accepted them as his family in his heart.
Enjoyed watching his soft side..
Overall a great emotional episode :)
