Sad to say this but whether it is Gopi or Sandhya, illiterate or educated, the majority of the public seem to subtly approve of the "martyr " woman syndrome ...TRPs attest to that... The woman needs to continue being a selfeless, silent, respectful, loving, caring, sharing, pavitra person regardless of the people around her...Suffer in silence is the "ideal" method
I've come to the point where I dont care what happens to the diya or baati, and I fully endorse the above opinions... but a question:What would you have Sandhya do then?Walk out? Then what? Fulfil her IPS dream? Then what? Serve her country? Then what?At the end of the day, being an IPS officer is just a job...What about her personal life? Shall she die respected but alone in the end without experiencing the love and relationships that make life worthwhile? So should she marry again? Then what? If a person has close relationships with any human being, it cannot be perfect because neither is Sandhya or any human perfect...Then what? Should we clamor for her to leave from there too?Again, I think the current track is shown very badly but Sandhya leaving or shouting back is not a solution...I think the best option is to stick it out and overcome evil with good, like she has decided to...But please CVs, can you not kill the story's charm and credibility in the process ?
