"What? Really? That's great news Lavanya," screamed Khushi into her phone while jumping with excitement on her seat. "Oh come on chamkeli how long are you gonna gush about it??" giggled Lavanya at Khushi's excitement about her new boyfriend.
She lightly clung the phone near her shoulder for support "ahhh I can't help it, I'm just so happy for you like so HAPPY", emphasized Khushi and sipped on to her tea, while her other hand typed few lines into her laptop.
"Yeah well I wanted you to know first and could you tell ASR as well?" she casually asked while sketching few deigns for her upcoming fashion show.
"Of course I can't wait to tell him..but when's the wedding?" asked Khushi with much more excitement in her voice this time.
"O.M.G Khushi! We just started dating few days back and wedding can wait. Plus I think we should get to know each other better to avoid things that happened in the past" explained Lavanya understanding Khushi's old excitement about marriage.
"Oh'" realizing what Lavanya meant, "I'm sorry about Arnav, but I'm sure Saahil loves you a lot" she said with an apologetic voice as if it was her fault.
"Huh? WHAA..Noo noo that's not what I meant idiot! ASR and I broke up for good and please just because you married him does not mean you are at fault" making it clear to Khushi that none of it was her mistake.
Khushi smiled weakly at Lavanya's sweetness "so then why the delay for marriage?" she questioned confused.
"Cause it's fun Chamkeli!" giggling Lavanya replied to her innocent friend who didn't know the exact meaning of 'dating'. "Fun?" gave back Khushi "anyway I have to go submit few reports to Arnav..I'll speak to you later?" she continued to take few files out from her cabinet.
"Sure..call me back later" she hung up cheerfully.

"ARNAV..ARNAV..ARNAV" ran in Khushi into Anrav's glass cabin huffing and puffing for running up the stairs so rapidly. Arnav who was concentrating into a file almost dropped it as soon as he heard her alarmed voice,"Wooo calm down Khushi" mocking her impatience that always surprised him.
Khushi kept a hand on her chest to catch some breathe "La..Lavv.." she tried but failed due to her quickening heartbeat. Arnav passed her a glass of water while still studying the file in his hand "drink some then speak" he told her with a light smile playing on his lip.
She drank full glass in one go "phewww" she sighed before continuing "Lavanya has met someone..I mean Saahil," said Khushi with such loudness that the whole office could hear.
"shhh Khushi" warned Arnav to his pouting wife "Wawoo! That's great I'll call her and congratulate" placing a hand on her shoulder with a genuine smile.
Khushi smiled back and nodded in agreement. "So are the reports for our next meeting ready" he asked bringing her back to official business.
"Hmm yeah I have it all ready" informed Khushi placing the report files on his desk and made her self-comfortable on the seat opposite to Arnav's laptop.

Few minutes later both of them sat opposite to each other with Arnav busily typing few stuff into his laptop, on the other hand Khushi sat on her seat in deep thoughts. She had been thinking about what Lavanya has told her earlier. Arnav who was so engrossed into his work didn't realize Khushi's silence, which did not last long.
"Arnav?!?!" she yelled slamming her hand on the desk like she had cracked something big. Arnav jerked his head up from the laptop "not again Khushi!" with a frown for interrupting his concentration yet again.
"It's important! Listen!" she commanded with such seriousness that Arnav had to look back at her still frowning.
"Soo I was talking to Lavanya" she started glancing down at her hand. "Yes you mentioned that already" replied Arnav not knowing where this was going.
"She was saying dating is fun before marriage" with a rather soft voice this time like she was unsure of it. "Hmm so?" with his eyebrow ceased together, puzzled at her soft voice.
"You think so too?" she investigated with narrowed eyes.
"Whaat? I..I don't know..I guess" he fumbled a bit to her unusual questioning. "That's perfect!" she rose up with excitement confusing the man in front of her even more. "See you're not sure if it's fun, and I don't it at all so we can do it together now right?" she walked towards him with widening eyes.
"Do what?" asked Arnav guessing his wife has completely lost it. Khushi grinned "can we pretend to date each other..can you be my boyfriend for few days?" she proposed with hopeful eyes.
Arnav stared at her baffled for what she had proposed "Khushi what hell is up with you" chuckling to himself for her unbelievable idea. Khushi's smile dropped "I'm serious" eyeing him with seriousness but he shook his head and went back to typing on his laptop. He felt her hands stopping him from typing "come on please Arnav, it might turn out to be fun" she persisted with an innocent smile that always made him weak. "Why? What's wrong with being married to me?" he asked not knowing Khushi's sudden urge to be his girlfriend.
"Urmm .. we married in such rush that I didn't really get a chance to date you..know you before" she admitted looking into his eyes.
A flinch of regret ran through Arnav's mind as he remembered how he had forced her into marrying him due to his shameless brother in law. While all those thoughts ran back into his head he remained silence, making Khushi think he is refusing her.
"Fine!" she yelled and walked away from him "I just wanted to know how it felt dating you" with a mournful tone and ran out of his cabin.
"Wait! Khushi!" he called back but did not make it in time. He sat back on his chair resting his head back in frustration.

It was almost 11 in the night and Arnav returned back going straight up to his room to get a glimpse of his wife who was surely fuming. He saw her sitting by the bed with a chips packet watching some stupid drama.
As soon as he saw her, he brought his mischievous smile on. But when she glanced at him he pretended to be pissed "what the hell are you doing in my room at this time?" asking in a annoyed tone.
"Excuse me? "Turning down the volume of the TV. Arnav began unbuttoning his waistcoat keeping his crook smile on all the while, "If nani sees you here she will be pretty mad" he explained with a calm yet naughty tone.
Finally giving up she walked up to him and stood behind him and poked his shoulder "what do mean Arr" and was interrupted when he pulled her by the waist making her rush into his chest. "Shh" he placed his finger on her mouth "don't make any noise my family might see you" he hushed her. Khushi's eye's widened at his sudden touch on her lips while her mind stayed amused at his sudden action.
"You wanted to play my girlfriend right?" he huskily asked her with one eyebrow crooked up.
Finally understanding what was happening she wickedly smiled back and kissed his finger that was on her lips.
