Rhea Kapoor trademarks her Herogiri

In 2010, she successfully adapted Jane Austen's novel, Emma, to make Aisha starring Sonam Kapoor. Now Anil Kapoor's younger daughter, Rhea, has turned to books again for her second production venture. She has bought the rights of the novel Herogiri, written by Mainak Dhar. "After Aisha – a film we are very proud of – I wanted the concept of my next film to be really exciting. Herogiri is a story I'm extremely passionate about because it's interesting and very different," says the 25-year-old producer, who has, for the first time, also worked on the screenplay of the film.

"The title caught my attention. Besides, the ideas in it are very relevant to today's times. Although it's a thriller, the film is fresh and young," says Rhea, adding that Karan Boolani, who has been associated with films like Wake Up Sid and Aisha in the past, will direct the film.

What's most interesting is that Rhea – for the first time in Bollywood – has officially trademarked the title Herogiri. All rights to the word now lie with Rhea and no one else can use it without her consent. "You will soon get to know why we have trademarked it. It will help a lot with marketing and publicity," she says.

Rhea confirms that the film is likely to go on floors by the end of this year. Will she cast her sister once again? "We will start talking to actors soon and all decisions, including the one to cast Sonam, will be taken collectively," she says.

Then she has to change the trademark from Herogiri to Harakiri 😆

Just looked up premise of the novel:

"Arnab Bannerjee, a shy twenty five year old, has little excitement in his life other than tracking down missing books as assistant librarian in a Delhi University college. But all that changes when one day he is beaten up and left for dead during a bank robbery. He awakens to discover incredible superhuman powers within him, which he hones with the help of Khan Chacha, an ex-Army jawan and the owner of a video parlour next door. And so begins his crusade against eve teasers, highway robbers, corrupt policemen, and scheming politicians and their goons. But when Arnab embarks on his most challenging mission to thwart a deadly terror attack on Delhi, he realizes that to succeed, he has to become a part of the very system he hates. In this final adventure Delhi's Guardian Angel is forced to join hands with the minister who wants to use him to rig elections, the policeman who tried killing him in a fake encounter, and the liquor baron who wants to cash in on his popularity by using him as his brand's ambassador. Will he succeed in his mission and still keep his ideals?"

i dont think Sonam's in this movie... but i heard her projects will be announced soon.

wonder who will play Arnab Banerjee...

Ranveer does so much Herogiri in real life as well 😆... i think he would be good for this role too!

oh yeah... Harsh would fit the role as well but i think hes still too young and would come in movies in a couple years.

I LOVED Aspi & Zaara as superheroes in Honeymoon Travels PVT LTD. They were cute SHs. I won't mind, another SH flick if they handle the character the way Reema did 😊

these 2 were my fav couple in Honeymoon Travels 😳 such cute superheroes 😆 Reema could take these 2 characters and make a whole new film ... Rhea well 😳
