hey everyone, so this is my first post. i've been commenting here and there. but i decided why not make this post, seeing as many people are getting really irritated by our sweet anjali di. i've seen many people well almost everyone on the forum refer to anjali as being dumb and brainless.
now don't get me wrong, i think anjali really is naive and clueless to whats happeing around her, especially in terms of arnavs feeling as seen in yesterdays episode, which showed she didn't know him all that well. its not hard to tell that arnav was not happy, i mean anyone can tell that he was upset, turning his back and saying in an angry voice that his happy is the an obvious indicator that his not. but anjali quickly believed him. WHY? well here comes my title. hope you guys like what i write and thanks for reading.
A Pacifist
i believe that anjali is a pacifist, non-confrontational, peaceable, which ever word you use. this means a person who likes to avoid conflcit. and she is the type of person that wants to avoid conflict at all cost and we've all seen anjali doing this. and we know how easily anjali can get hurt and how arnav tip toes around her feeling, always trying to make her happy and keep her happy. WHY? well we'll get to that.
Her past:
along with arnav anjali also had a painful past, she was right beside him him suffering and going through thick and thin. she would have also been in pain, loosing her parents and also being kicked out of her house by her uncle. i think people forget that her and arnav share the same painful experince. now how does relate, well were getting there.
where here: arnav and anjali similar, both hiding and fearful and how does this really tell us why anjali is the way she is? is she really that "dumb" or is there something more to it?
ok, so bear with me guys.
your probably wondering, arnav and anjali similar, really?. well yes they are quite similar in terms of one thing, which is feeling pain. we all know arnav completely shut himself of from feeling any emotion that could lead him to feel pain, like he did in his younger years, because of his experience. that is also the case with anjali. both arnav and anjali shared the same pain, but both siblings took different paths in handling and dealing with this experience. how does this relate. easy. because of their past, anjali doesn't want to feel that kind of suffering and hurt again. that is why she is wants to avoid conflict, as she doesn't want anyones feeling to get hurt as well as her feeling, which could make her feel sad. she wants to avoid thsi as she has already faced the extremity of the pain in the past. but does it really excuse her clueless behaviour to her husband( snake shyam) and arnav's feeling. well maybe it does. she wants to belive everything is fine so any feeling of doubt on either of them and stores it right at the back of her mind. althoguh she has this suspicion, it is quickly removed with one answer from shyam and arnav, your wondering how can she easily let go of that suspicion, simple. she doesn't want to feel pain or feel upset. she doesn't want to contemplate the actual truth as she is fearful of the aftermath that it can cause and that is why she easily accepts the answers from shyam and arnav and locks away her doubts. its becasue she is scared just like arnav of pain, so instead of shutting all her emotions like arnav she, creates a bubble around her, a place which is perfect and happy, blindsiding the truth and every thing bad. she doesn't want to disrupt the universe and cause trouble that could lead to heartache and suffering. she accepts any excuse straight up because she doesn't want to make life complicated. she wants to believe everything is as it seems and there is nothing more to it. i mean why would the two people she cares for the most be lying to her, since all this time they are always trying to make her happy.
so to conclude, anjali is the way she is because simpley, she is scared of pain, because of her past. she has created her own world were everything is perfect and everyone is happy, she wants to keep this feeling and avoid the bad ones, that is why she is so easily and readily believes the lies that she is fed. simply because she wants to believe everything is fine, and why would anyone want to hurt her as well. she like arnav is running away from the truth and find it easier to dismiss and forget it rather then face up to it.
now i'm trying to excuse her obliviousness to everything but to give an insight as to why she might be like that. i hope you guys liked this post and it wasn't to much a waste of your time thank you for reading🤗 and i hope it made sense.
