Though the one thing that has changed is Khushi's character. It's done a complete U-turn. First she would avoid ASR like the plague, wouldn't even speak to him now her character seeks him out, she seeks out arguments or does things that trigger arguments with ASR.
She happily walks into his house each day knowing that it will lead to a fight/argument. She walks into his bedroom when he's repeatedly told her to "GET OUT!". I am also tired of "aukaat" conversations between her and ASR. Didn't she get enough of that when she worked for him? It's just more of the same.
I remember when she was most consumed with never seeing him again. She was eager to go home to Lucknow, and later to earn money to help her father get his shop back or make enough money for his treatment. Where did that track go? Her father had a supposed heart attack, which we still don't know the cause of, is now well enough go sleuthing on his own.
That scene where both Shyam and Khushi's dad walk right past each other and never see each other was ridiculous and poor directing. But later when the father is getting into an auto Shyam conveniently spots him at some distance but the father never sees him? Unbelievable. And how many times will Shyam almost get caught but doesn't?
Lavanya till the end continued to call Khushi "Chamkili" which was a negative sort nickname she gave to Khushi earlier but when they became "friends" she continued to call her by that nickname. I never understood why Lavanya started to dress like Khushi. Why did Khushi dress her up as a bride after ASR warned Khushi not meddle in his personal life enough that he bruised her wrist? Why would she continuously bait a crazy guy like Arnav?
Can the CVs finally decide how educated Khushi really is? Does she know enough English to take a dictation from ASR and type up a letter in English but she can't say the word "phone"?
Also after Shyam found out that Khushi's father tends to snoop around on his phone why would he repeatedly leave it around? I find this entire angle of bringing Khushi of all people considering that they all know ie the Raizada clan that there is some major bad blood between her and ASR that they would choose her to "train" Lavanya to be bahu material when they knew from the start that ASR would never marry her or anyone for that matter - dumb.
This angle was a non-starter IMO. The job of training a working career woman like Lavanya into the perfect bahu is an insult to all working girls or all girls period. The entire track was dumb to begin with. I think once the CVs got Khushi out of ASR's office they couldn't find a good track to bring them together each day so they found this stupid idea. "Khushi will train ASR's girlfriend to be a great bahu."
Also as has been mentioned before elsewhere on this forum the women on this show have no brains and no guts. Angali is the dumbest woman of them all. She doesn't have the slightest clue about Shyam's double life whereas there are red flags everywhere regarding his absence. Even ASR has failed to pick up on this.
How is it that all these folks the Raizada clan have no clue about Shyam's antics neither does the Gupta family who are also living in the same house as Shyam but somehow Khushi's father who just met Shyam already knows that he's up to no good? How can all these people who have known him for an extended length of time never suspect him but Khushi's dad is full of suspicion?
ASR is a serial abuser both physically and emotionally I am sorry to say. On more than one occasion we have seen him leave marks on Khushi's arms which she is more than happy to hide. Not to mention the one time he threw her out of window in his office and she landed on some boxes. What the hell was that? Why does she hide the abuse? When I say hide I mean shouldn't she tell someone? Can she at least tell Payal?
Plus they seem to disappear in one day. Just because he said sorry she goes out of her way to hide the bruises he gave while he was saying sorry? He shouts at Khushi, his Di, Lavanya, even argues with his Nani. I have noticed he's never got into a verbal spat with any of the men in the house. But the women are a different matter.
The only female to escape his wrath is the ridiculous caricature that is his Mami. Is he a misogynist? It is very hard to accept that he cares for Khushi when the two of them are in this continuously destructive cycle of arguments, put downs and physical violence mostly coming from his side. Even while caring for Khushi he considers her beneath him.
I remember only one occasion when Khushi put her hands on him when she shoved him like 3 times in the guest house where it seemed to her that he had deliberately sent her there knowing the building was dangerous. There too he hurt her physically so badly that her bangle broke and it cut her wrist after which she fainted. And when she was about to fall he caught her in the most weird fashion by her head. I guess Arnav is the anti-hero in its most basic form and Khushi is the eternal abuse victim.
