OOkay, without much ado, let me pen down a few of my darlings' thoughts as he sits besides me and pores over what i write(vivid, innit?😆)
Serious now..i promise
Standing two steps behind her, i stole glances at her..hoping she'd look at me too...and then,she looked at me, to give me the pooja thaali..not that I cared for it, but di wanted it, so I'd do it..and our eyes met again...hers immediately being veiled behind her lids..as i took the thali from her, our hands touched..a touch i never wanted to let go..she looked up shocked at me, while i met her gaze with one of my own, that gave nothing away, hoping she wouldn't read much. IF she wanted to read something- let it be this- so i touched you..does it matter to you?
And she pulled her hand from below mine, leaving a void...
I did the aarti and passed the thaali to lavanya, making a brisk job of it, and as i moved back,locking eyes with khushi again... why would she look at me like that with her warm eyes?
Di's looks backwards just about killed me..she looked so gloomy..and i just hoped jiju would come soon.
I moved towards her and put a hand on her shoulder, assuring her of my presence..
After a few moments of resuming my spot, i met khushi's sideways glance..oh khushi..tell me what you read in those eyes because I really don't know what they showed at that moment...admiration or pain? anger, frustration, annoyance or concern?
LAvanya dragged my hand to make her eat the prasad and therefore break her fast..something i really had not much inclination in doing..for i had broken the one important i had to break..i doubt lavanya could ever faint...no, there was no comparison and then she hugged me..a cordial goodbye hug which didn't make me feel a thing..but then, i saw khushi, and that look did more things than all other put together...
I asked her questions...but she turned away, didn't answer..did it matter to her? did she dislike it as much as i did?
then, what did she want? was she jealous? was she simply not aware of it- like I wasn't?
She tried to light a match, and i looked at her- that uneasiness, much like what i felt
The one question that came into my mind- the most important one- did she CARE?
no..it couldn't be. and i didn't need anyone's care. Di is more than enough
she was leaving...and i stood there...watching her come...pass me by, and go...as if a soft breeze, a soft dupatta had touched me..she left...and i watched her, and asked her to turn...she turned..as if she heard me...this time ,I didn't hide whatever there was in my eyes..this time, i saw those echoed in hers..
And then she went...
I went back to a very worried di...i hated to see her cry and hoped jiju would come very soon...her pain's too much for me to bear...and finally, maybe as a result of sheer will on her part, he came..as i had known he would..the other man who i could trust to keep my di happy...and enjoyed her face light up with joy and eyes glitter with happiness.
Good, the night went well.. I left them to their happiness while my thoughts beckoned me other directions..
Okay guys..that's all of thoughts!
I LOVED the portrayal of pain and happiness, worry and then relief in anjali's eyes when that sham shyam came. he's such a jerk. If possible i hate him even more
it's quite obvious khushi wouldn't see him...but an arhi scene on monday? perhaps..😳 just another passing of looks..hayeee...
