That is totally totally it. ASR will carry the reminder of his ego gone wild...and end up with the person who put it there. I loved how he kept trying to regain his 'ASR-ness' after slipping and mentioning Khushi. What I love love love about Barun's portrayal is that it is very much not love - but an awareness of emotion he can't name yet. And Sanaya's portrayal of the confused and traumatized Khushi is fabulous - you could see she had grown up some...until we see her frying up a batch of jalebis tomorrow. I love how all the characters are grey!!!

Side note -I have been quoting the bard myself - saying ASR doth protest too much - Danish play versus your Scottish one.😆

@ Bold..Love how you say..ASR ness..hahahaha. seriously it is like a disease..maybe he has ASR itis..hahaaha
I too love about the Jalebi part..So glad they did not forget this part of her character and make her a mooning female overnight and the best part is that the characters are so far in keeping with their portrayal
@ Scottish Vs Danish..Sounds like biscuits...It was just a whim on my part today😆😆

Finally watched the episode and then rewound to watch again😉
You are so very right Zainab...excellent acting by Barun Sobti👏...he was able to convey the entire spectrum of emotions through his eyes...eyes that time and time again would return to that small thin, red streak of evidence...that bore silent testimony to his cruelty, his coldness.
The difference between him and Lady Macbeth being that while for him it was a very real and painful reminder of his crimes, she imagined the spot while sleep walking. Hers was a very vocal self-incrimination, while he just gave himself away by one word: Khushi.
His mind is stuck in those moments of time where he first saw Khushi as something other than one of those umpteen gold-diggers that seemed to flutter around him, attracted by his wealth and looks like moth to flame.
Yes he was struggling with himself today and his cold mind tried again and again to re-assert its supremacy on his feelings...and his sister's insistence to confide may just prove to be the last straw ...the great Arnav Singh Raizada may just give up trying to make sense of these alien emotions by himself and say:
Di, mujhe batao ki main kya karoon?
Well, a girl can dream 😍😃
Thanks for a lovely thread👏

👏👏That was amazing piece of writing...@ 👏red..beautifully put..vocal slef incrimination..God the way he said Khushi and then tried to cover it up..was as if he had given away his emotional tumult
@ purple..OMG ..how did you know..it was soo close to this happening..today..
@ yellow..that is soo kind but accept my thanks for commenting on my posts and liking it.

Current, I love your post. When you named this post, Out damned spot, I was reminded of Lady Macbeth who kept trying to wash the blood of her hands, which was a sign of her misdeeds. I'm so happy you made this allusion. Indeed, the blood on the palm is a permanent reminder for ASR who crossed his limit and hurt another soul to boast his ego.

Aww Sid,..thank you...and yes the blood is a reminder that is permanent on his mind..
that was so aptly put.
