Sorry i had laptop issues. Battery died. The new one arrived today. I am continuing half written part right now. Will spend next half an hour working on it and hopefully it should be up. fingers crossed.

Her heart danced just at mere thought of knowing Modi's secret and blackmailing him. She wondered if she could use it free her from the night duties that she was assigned as punishment from past couple of days. No that would be too easy. She has to torture him till he loses his arrogance. She can figure that out once she knows what exactly Modi is hiding.

She steadied herself in the seat and thanked Varsha for helping her.

Niki, listen, has Abhimanyu told you anything about the accident at all? It isn't fair if he hasn't.

Why was Varsha insisting that Abhimanyu should have told her about the accident? She wondered. Oh yeah it's because of that lie. She felt bad thinking about it but she had no other option. She was desperate. She needed to know. These past few days Modi wasn't as sadu as he was a month back, yet she felt she had to know. She didn't understand this feeling. Probably the way he had gone silent while talking about it, the way he had reacted, the facts she had found, they were all mysterious. That has to be it. She thought.

Niki, Are you around.

Varsha's voice brought her back to their conversation. She was about to talk when Varsha continued.

Niki, your silence tells me that he hasn't told you anything about this accident. Let me ask you this, Niki are you sure he loves you?

What? What do you mean?

She asked confused. Now this was becoming way too mysterious for her to handle. She wanted Varsha to get straight to the point.

Sorry for sounding like this. But if you come to know the truth you too would have all these doubts

Varsha, now you are making me nervous. What is it? Say it na.

Abhimanyu wasn't alone in the accident Niki.

Varsha, that's it? What's the big deal? If there was accident probably there was other car involved. What is so huge about it that you are panicking like this?

Niki was confused. She was expecting some drama or some secret that she could blackmail Modi with and here all she was hearing about was there was someone else involved in the accident. Was she looking at something which actually wasn't anything, she wondered.

Hello Doctor.

A male voice shook her and grabbed her attention.

You? She asked confused.

She saw him making faces and opening the driver seat to come in the car. That's when she realized that Abhimanyu Modi was the senior doctor she was going to medical camp with. What a bad luck she thought. Varsha's sound from the phone made her panic. She was talking to Varsha about same man who was sitting right beside, that too with excuse that they both are in love. She was in trouble. She had to end this call right away.

She told Varsha that she has to go out of station at this moment and she will call her once she is back. She hung up the call before Varsha could say anything else.

If you have bid good bye to all your friends shall we leave now?

Abhimanyu asked her as soon as he saw her disconnect the call. He clipped his seat belt and waited for Niki to do hers. She was struggling with it. This girl is something. Can't she even wear the seat belt? Who made this girl doctor? He saw her struggle with the seat belt but she wasn't going anywhere with it. He had to help her. Phew... Just when he was about to put car in the first gear, his cell phone rang. The ring tone alerted him. It was important and he can't avoid it.

He made a face excusing for a minute and picked up the phone.

Just two minutes back he was taunting her for the phone calls and here he was attending them when they were just about to leave. It irritated her. She wished she had some time to know more about what Varsha was saying. The way she was talking it really must be something. Was some friend involved in the accident? Or his parents? What was she hinting about she had no clue but now that she was thinking about it, she realized it was something serious because Varsha wasn't a girl who would panic if there wasn't anything to the story.

She looked at Abhimanyu and he looked worried. He was almost yelling on phone that he can't come to Bombay hospital today as he is going on business trip.

Bombay hospital, she now was 100% sure that the matter wasn't simple like she had concluded earlier when She was in conversation with Varsha. It was something serious and she would need to find out once she is back. Modi had not left any stone unturned to trouble her and her friends then why should she stay behind. But was this right? May be she was going overboard. Plus he wasn't too bad either. Last few days he behaved so well when she had lied to him about him misbehaving with her. He had even dropped her home when she got drunk in holi party. He had been gentleman. Wait he was also punishing her for the whole valentine days made up story. This man is beyond her understanding. When she was leaving he stopped her from taking hasty decisions that would spoil her life and on the other hand he can't enjoy a moment in life and let other enjoy either. He was so unpredictable sometimes so cold and sometimes so warm. Probably that irritated her the most.

As she looked to driver side she realized that his phone call was over and they were already on their way to medical camp. He looked very serious, worried and concentrating on the road without even looking at her. What was it that he was hiding? She promised herself that she would find it out first thing after coming back.

Awesome update Pri ... but again You hid the "past " from us ... but still I like it . I wish that Nikki starts to fall for him already and then when she comes to know the past ... she falls harder for him ...

This is not done Pri. Firstly you updated after such a long time and then you didn't reveal anything about the past which I was so curious to know.

Coming back to the update, it was a nice part and it made whole of the story more mysterious. I want to know his past and that too soon.
