Had he heard any of her conversation? If he has she is dead.

She stood there frozen, scared and hesitant expecting him to say something.

He was passing by the locker room and saw her dancing. He couldn't believe that the same girl who was crying uncontrollably over a friend who couldn't understand her love is now dancing. Probably because the same friend is very happy? How can she be so selfless? How could she keep aside her biggest happiness when it was paining her every moment? But she really looked happy, and the happiness that made her dance. She looked so cute when she was happy.

A smile crossed his face and that's when he realized he is standing in locker room very close to her. When did he walk that distance? He wasn't intending to disturb her but here he was standing in front of her and she was looking at him expecting to shout? There was tinge of fear in her eyes, a fearless girl he had known her to be, what would she be scared of? Was it him? He didn't understand why his heart felt heavy with that thought, but pushing all the thoughts aside he asked her

What are you doing?

Me? I am.. I am..

Did he hear or not? It wasn't very clear to her? Probably he heard and now he was just expecting her to accept it? But his face didn't show any signs of anger rather a smile. Probably he didn't hear. Not able to decide further and seeing him raise the brow in questioning tone she decided not to say anything and see how deep the water she is in.

It was truth wasn't it? She gave a smug look at him as if challenging him.

Hmm. Well if you have finished your little celebration then get going, it's time for your duty.

She was confused. He wasn't even arrogant for once. It wasn't like him to not accept challenges thrown at him. Looking at him and nodding her head she walked past him. She was still wondering if he had heard her or not. For now she decided to assume that he had not otherwise would that Modi leave any chance to shout at her. Definitely not. She turned and gave a quick look at him and took off from there.

He saw her leave the room and then he walked out too. He was oblivious to fact that there was wide smile on his face too.

He was sitting in his office and wondering if he should just let it go or apologize again. It was today morning that he had found the MMS that Niki made last night. He was angry. Very angry in fact. That girl had crossed all limits and when he went to see her and talk about this, he discovered that he was the one who had crossed the limits. He misbehaved with her. He had apologized then and there but was that enough? Or should he just let it go and add it to the list of embarrassing moments and lock it in. He was just drunk and lost his head. So the fact was he couldn't stop thinking about it. About her. He should probably write her a note and buy flowers. He decided to stop by her house next day.

While walking out of Niki's house, all he could think was her. She looked so calm and innocent when she was sleeping. He had never thought that he would have these feelings and that too for her. Last few days all he had been able to see was how sweet girl she was and how dedicated she was to whatever she took on. All those pranks that she played made her even more attractive. Oh wait a minute? Was he calling her attractive? What was he thinking? How could he let his thoughts run in that direction? How can he forget that she lied to him? She made fun of him. She needs to be punished. Very soon. Deciding to think about the punishment later, he took off in his car.

Oh so this is why he didn't fight with her all day. Modi you are so dead.

She was angry and frustrated. Giving her all the night duties, that was worse than his shouting that too when she had to go to Armaan's house. Well, she had lied to him about the Valentine's Day incident but that doesn't justify he can give her all night duties, or maybe it does.

But whatever it was she has to figure out those mysteries soon and make him pay. She wondered why her friend Varsha hasn't called yet. What was taking her so long to figure out his case details? And what was the x-ray she saw today morning in his office for? Didn't his file already have x-ray that was showing healed elbow then why take new one again? Thought of getting close to solving these mysteries excited her yet she was so far, only if Varsha could give her more details. Deciding to call her in couple of days, if she doesn't get callback, she walked into the ICU.

While she was walking towards the car to go for medical camp, she heard her cellphone ring. Looking at the caller-id showing Varsha, she didn't wait a second to pick it up.

Hey Varsha.

She said as she put her bag in back seat, sat in the car and took the files in her lap for studying on her way.

Hey Niki, I have got the information you need.
