even as a girl, nimisha had the option of turning down the proposal. The storylinemakes no sense that Anant is just forced into it. CVs really need to get in shape if they want to keep this show at the high following that it has.

You read my mind. I cannot understand why Anant is forced to accept. And why did he not confide in his brother. He is scared of the rest of family at least most of them but brother opened up the topic of whether he loves somebody else and if he is against the marriage. I think they wanted the show to drag on. I wonder on Monday if Navya will open up about Rama's phone call to her. Interesting to see. I hope we see her starting to get braver and less scared.

Nope, Nimmisha didn't really have a choice! Her mother forced her to accept this proposal even before she met the guy. Also, the elders in their house didn't want Nimmisha and the guy to meet but because the guy's father insisted, they had to listen. If you've watched the episode, you'd have seen that they were going to accept the proposal without even asking Nimmisha. Only when the guy's father insisted that both the guy and girl should talk in private, then they let them talk and then Nimmisha said yes willingly. She would've had to say yes anyway regardless of meeting the guy or not.

So yeah, Anant really has no choice. If he would've said no to the proposal, I don't think Baba would've agreed and would've gone ahead with the engagement anyway.

I agree with u...Nimisha also did'nt had a choice...Fortunately she liked the guy when they were allowed to talk alone...The guy wanted her to continue the education also...I remember Nimisha - Anant's convo that after marriage she will get the freedom to live her life...

I remember her Dad saying that she can just see this guy and then they can say No. Yes, her mom was more insistent but even then, she was asking Nimi to cooperate, not being given a hukum. If she had not liked the guy who came to see her, or if she loved someone else, she could have got the guy to reject her.

no..she didnt had a choice..her mother told her to accept the proposal and it was only the boys family who wanted them to meet and talk..and later on nimisha liked the guy too
