26 Days Left...
The first scene was a little painful to watch so I'm not going to go into too much detail...
Usha, the matchmaker, brings prospective groom photos for Mahadevi's marriage. She looks at all the pictures and say no. Usha asks what kind of groom Mahadevi wants and Mahadevi describes her perfect guy using Guddu's descriptions. Mittho wonders that this description matches someone she knows but can't place who. Usha says that Mahadevi wants a Dabang character as her groom. Mahadevi happily agrees.
Billo rushes into Kalsanwali's room, happily chanting or rather reciting Guddu's name in a sing-song manner. Kalsanwali asks her why she's happily reciting Guddu's name, and Billo says that Guddu is gone. His room is empty, including his clothes and all his belongings. She adds that even his personal effects are gone. (Guddu is right that the Pandey Nivaas is a madhouse)
Kalsanwali doubts this information considering last time Billo told them the same and Guddu came back that too with sweets abound. They say they will go ask Runjhun to make sure. Runjhun is in the kitchen, in a green sari, hair let loose (no plait today). Kalsanwali asks where is Guddu, and Rujnhun says that Guddu has gone out. Runjhun asks if Guddu is gone out or he ran away.
Amma comes and says why would Guddu run away. Anyone would be lucky to have Runjhun as their wife, so why would he run away. Kalsanwali telsl Amma that Guddu is such a person that after he has no use for something he discards it away. He used Runjhun for his fun and then he ran away (The mamis have great knack to make anyone and anything sound cheap). Kalsanwali tells Amma to ask Runjhun. Amma looks at Runjhun who looks worried. Amma tells Runjhun why she is looking worried. She tells her that unlike her irreverent aunts she won't ask a question like that and insult Runjhun. She tells Kalsanwali and Billo that Guddu is a young man and he can't be sitting at home all day. She says he must have gone to the hospital because his mom is ill.
Kalsanwali says why does he have to take his clothes to go to the hospital. Amma threatens Kalsanwali to mind her tongue and pulls out a hot spoon, ready to whack her. Kalsanwali runs towards Billo. Amma tells them not to spread any rumors and create problems. She tells them to remember that she is still alive and this house is still hers.
After they leave, Amma grabs Runjhun's hand and says that they will go to the hospital. Runjhun is worried that Guddu might not be at the hospital, and Amma will find out the truth. She tells Amma that in a few days they will go. Today it is too hot and it's a long way to travel to see Guddu's mom. Amma thinks about it and agrees. She tells Runjhun that she shouldn't refer to Lata as Guddu's mom anymore. Afterall Lata gave her a daughter's respect and to Runjhun Lata is like her Amma. Runjhun nods.
At the hospital, Guddu is with his mom. Lata looks around and Guddu asks her who is she looking for. Lata assk Guddu why Runjhun didn't come. Guddu doesn't know what to say. Dinanath says that Runjhun will come. She's a good daughter in law. There is something about her that puts his heart at ease. Guddu remembers Runjhun challenging him and he being scared and running away. Guddu tells his mother that Runjhun's grandmother got injured and Runjhun stayed back to take care of her. He remembers telling Runjhun not to show him her face. Dinanath tells Guddu that he should have informed them of this before. He says this habit of Guddu's he doesn't like, and says if he says anything Guddu doesn't like it. Guddu looks away frustrated.
Runjhun comes to see Lata, and Guddu's parents are happy to see her. Guddu is surprised. He gets up from the bed as Runjhun comes close. Lata asks Runjhun how her grandmother is. She asks if her grandmother isn't hurt too much. Runjhun looks confused and Dinanath explains that Guddu told them about Runjhun's grandmother being hurt. Guddu turns away and thinks that for sure Runjhun will tattle on him. Runjhun smiles and says that she'd told Guddu not to mention anything, but Guddu isn't good with keeping secrets. Guddu is surprised.
Runjhun takes a seat next Lata and asks her about her health. Lata says she is fine. Dinanath says that now that her daughter is here, Lata will be fine. Lata asks Dinanath if he did the work she told him to. He wonders what work then remembers Lata asking him to bring something from home. Dinanath searches through his pockets then finds the kangan that Lata requested by the bedside table. He hands it to Lata. Lata calls Guddu to her side, and Dinanath allows Guddu to come closer. Guddu sits next to his mom and asks her what she wants.
Lata hands him the kangans and tells Guddu to make Runjhun wear the kangans (My fifth touch...I know you guys are going to get tired of me counting). Guddu and Runjhun both look hesitant. Dinanath asks Guddu what he's thinking and tells him to put the kangan on Runjhun's hand. Guddu, takes Runjhun's hand in his and puts the kangan on. When he gets to wrist, Runjhun winces, Guddu's reaction mirrors Runjhun.
Lata tells Guddu to be gentle with Runjhun. Guddu gently urges the kangans on Runjhun. Lata holds Runjhun's hand and says that now by proper custom, Runjhun has become a part of their family. Guddu looks at Runjhun who smiles at Lata.
The doctor comes in to check up on Lata and the nurse hands him the latest reports. The doctor tells Dinanath that they can discuss it in the office, but Lata says that everyone present is family here. She insists on the doctor reading the reports. The doctor opens the envelope and drops the report. Runjhun immediately reaches out and picks it up. She hands the report to the doctor who looks at it and is amazed.
He says that patients coming out of a coma is miraculous but happens ocassionally, but the recent development are truly miraculous in Lata's case. He explains that in Lata's case her situation was so critical that they had no choice but to operate, but Lata being in a coma made it hard to operate. He says to help the situation they tried an Ayurvedic regiment for Lata while she was in coma. Dinanath is anxious to hear what the doctor is getting at. The doctor says that the treatment is working and Lata's tumor has reduced. He says it is shrinking so now his recommnedation is to get Lata to the Kanpur hospital to finish the last aspect of her treatment.
Dinanath is happy and then turns to his daughter in law and calls her Bhagonwali because the time she walked in, everything nice has happened. Guddu isn't impressed but when Dinanath calls Runjhun Bhagonwali he's take aback. The doctor says that Lata can be transported today itself. They all walk out with Lata in the wheelchair, and Lata tells Runjhun that when she's back she will do proper ghar pravesh (Runjhun entering her marriage home) for Runjhun. She says that she also wants to her good news, regarding her grandson from Runjhun. (Guddu and Runjhun's expression priceless - ๐ I can't do jsutice to it even if I describe it). Lata then requests Dinanath to take a picture of her with her son and daughter in law. He takes a picture with his cell phone.
She then requests one picture of Guddu and Runjhun. Guddu and Runjhun exchange glances. Guddu says that they are getting late and there si no need. Lata insists and tells Runjhun to go stand next to Guddu. Runjhun goes and stands about a feet away from Runjhun. Dinanath tells Runjhun to move closer. Lata urges Guddu to move closer to Runjhun and they both move at the same time bumping arms. (Dare I say it....?) They look highly uncomfortable and Dinanath asks Runjhun to smile as it is good for health. Both Guddu and Runjhun smile as Dinanath clicks the picture.
Precap: Runjhun challenges Guddu in front of his men and says that he's scared that Runjhun will win the challenge. She tells him that he doesn't have faith in himself, and calls him "Darpokji"
(Reverse Psychology at its finest. Guddu's Chakravyuh just got bigger)
