Yes I am back with my magnifying glass looking for subtle signs in todays episode.........on the whole the episode was very cute and sweet with loads of RaDev moments that everyone likes....and surpise of surprises did dadima present Radhika a special dress for the night?..............please can it be something that can wipe out this image of Vishaka in red nighty trying to rape Dev in my mind? YUCK!!!!
BUT what I felt was uneasiness throughout the episode..........I cannot really pin point at what but there is something....
The parts that stood up for me were-
1. Dadima tells Dev when he cannot find the tickets "eetna sambhal ke rakha ki dhundna para".....but the camera is focussed on Radhika and she looks down guiltily........hint is to Vishaka.....he is hiding somewhere..........does that mean that due to some reason Radhika has to go in search of her? or does it mean Mrinalinis hunt for the person who was in the store room?
2.Dadima again tells dev when they call from Goa that "meri choti bahu kuch ayesa kaam kar nahi sakti ki jisse leeye main use datoo...........Radhika is in for a major blasting from dadima in future, when the truth comes out.
3. Chacho was in full Shakuni mood.......being very sweet on the front.....I want to take an insulin injection.....chachoo is slowly putting his plans in actions and Dev is now completely blind.......Dev is also on his own journey to learn a harsh lesson regarding chachoo.
4. Radhika saying that she is going to save all these moments as memories..........hints of small separation in the future when Dev will get angry?
On the whole very cute episode with lovely moments between Dadima and Radhika, Radhika-Birju-Dev, Dev-Radhika but at the end what came into my mind was this sentence from Julius Caesar (Act1, Scene III)........"Beware the Ides of March"........The ides of March is the name of March 15 in the Roman Calendar. The Ides of March was a festive day dedicated to the god Mars (God of War, fertility and agriculture). In modern times, the term Ides of March is best known as the date that Julius Caesar was assassinated.
Parallel between CB and Julius Caeser.......sounds outrageous doesn't it? .........but if you all can humour me then here it comes.........
In Julius Caesar, Marcus Brutus is Caesar's close friend and a Roman councilor. Brutus becomes influenced by a fellow senator Cassius. Traditional readings of the play maintain that Cassius and the other conspirators are motivated largely by envy and ambition, whereas Brutus is motivated by the demands of honour. The early scenes of the play mainly deal with Brutus' arguments with Cassius and his struggle with his own conscience (sounds familiar?). The growing tide of public support soon turns Brutus against Caesar (this public support was actually faked; Cassius wrote letters to Brutus in different handwritings over the next month in order to get Brutus to join the conspiracy). A soothsayer warns Caesar to "beware the Ides of March", which he ignores, culminating in his assassination by the conspirators that day.
So for me Brutus is Radhika and Cassius is Vishaka.........now Radhika is struggling with herself or her conscience......but she is still keeping quiet and not telling Dev.......the assassination of Julius Caeser will be destruction of Devs and dadimas confidence in Radhika.........and soon it is going to be March.
Thank you for reading and having the patience to deal with mad Misti.
