- Pakistani singers will be making star appearances at the forthcoming MTV Immies to be hosted in Mumbai next week. Ali Zafar, Strings and Jal will all be there to perform along with classical guru Rahat Fateh Ali Khan who has been charming India with winners like 'Mann ki Lagan' (Paap) and now the forthcoming Kalyug's 'Jiya Dhadak Dhadak Jaaye'. Not just a pretty presence, our men have a fair share in the nomination list too, thanks to their ventures in Bollywood. Mahesh Bhatt's Zeher has been nominated for the Best Album Category, all credit to Atif Aslam's Indian rendition of 'Woh Lamhey'. Atif too is up for two awards: Best Male Singer and Best New Film Music Talent. Ali Zafar and Faakhir have been nominated in the Best New Non Film Talent category amongst 'Bulla Ki Jana' singer Rabbi Shergill and Indian Idol Abhijeet Sawant whereas ace director, Asim Raza has been nominated for 'Mahi Ve'. Surprisingly there are no Pakistani nominations in the Best Pop Album category, which is rather strange considering the fact that their albums are selling like hot cakes in India. The awards will also feature performances by Bipasha Basu and Euphoria, amongst others, and MTV will be raising awareness and funds for the earthquake victims of Kashmir. So watch out for MTV Immies as Pakistani singers compete with the best of India...
