| Vishakha agrees to pretend to be a happy couple in front of Dev's family. Amma and Devki go to see off the Purohit family before Radhika makes it back. Radhika finds out from Nandu and tries to give the thread to Vishakha before she leaves but misses them. Meanwhile Amma tries to fix Radhika's wedding with an old man to get rid of her. But Brij Mohan stands against it and sends the old man away when he comes to see her. Vishambar Pandit tells Amma that the only way to find a decent guy for Radhika in Vrindavan is to hide the fact about her adoption from them. Amma agrees on this and Keshav's family comes to see Radhika. Brij Mohan however reveals the truth to them that Radhika is his adopted daughter. Keshav however is impressed by Brij Mohan's honesty and agrees to marry Radhika. The wedding is fixed for the very next day as Keshav doesnt' have too many days off from work. Shashtri ji calls the entire Purohit family to attend the wedding but Dev doesn't join as he is not keen on returning to Vrindavan. During the wedding ceremony Radhika stands up and refuses to marry and as an explanation she claims that she is already married to Kahna and cannot marry someone else. Brij Mohan tries to reason with her and Amma tries to threaten her but the wedding is called off. The Purohit family decides to stay in Vrindavan for one more day for Holi. They call Dev to join them. During Holi Radhika keeps herself away from Dev's sight. But Birju finds Radhika's payal in Nandu's hand and becomes suspicious. Shashtri ji invites Purohit family for lunch and Radhika successfully remains out of Dev's sight though Dev for the first time realizes he has never met Vishakha's sister. Birju however notices Radhika's deliberate effort to avoid Dev and confronts her to confirm that she infact is the girl Dev is in love with. Radhika however gives him kasam not to reveal the truth to Dev who is happily married to Vish. Before leaving Vrindavan again Dev runs into Radhika at the temple where Radhika puts on sindoor and Dev assumes that she is now a married woman and unable to bear it he decides to leave India forever. Amma has a fit to see Radhika coming back with sindoor in her maang. But Radhika claims she has the right to wear the sindoor and refuses to wipe it off. Meanwhile Purohitji had decided to give all his responsibilities to Dev but before he can speak to Dev about it Dev informs them that he is going to America for good. Everyone is shocked by this but Chacha and Arjun plot to look good in front of Purohitji so that they'll get all the property once Dev is gone. Vishakha urges Dev to tell her family about going to America in hopes that they'll convince him to say in India. When Dev calls Radhika speaks to him and Dev recognizes her voice but considers it a coincidence. Meanwhile when Radhika goes out to a mandir with the Shashtris the pundit there and some other people raise objections to her wearing a sindoor in the name of Kanha because she is not even allowed to enter a temple. Here Keshav stands up for Radhika and explains to them that this act is Radhika's immense faith in her God and God doesn't differentiate between his devotees. Later Keshav sees Brij Mohan's permission to continue a friendship with Radhika whereby he wants to change her mind about marriage as he still wishes to marry Radhika. Brij Mohan is happy to hear this as he feels Keshav is an ideal son-in-law and gives permission. On returning home Amma keeps a maun vrat until Radhika decides to wipe off the sindoor but Brij Mohan doesn't take her action seriously. Vaishali attempts to stop Dev from leaving by revealing Purohitji's illness but Purohitji prevents her from doing so and decides to hand over all his responsibilities to Arjun instead. Vishakha is frustrated that Dev has decided the course of her life and lashes out on Dev. But Dev explains to her that once they are in America she is free to do as she pleases and he'll take full responsibility for setting up the kind of life she desires. Vishakha thinks this as an opportunity and agree to go with him. But Birju who overhears there conversation realizes that Dev and Vish are only pretending to be happy are really are not. Shashtri ji decides to go see Vishakha once before she leaves for America and decides to take Radhika along with them. Amma does her best to prevent this but fails. However, on the way to Delhi Radhika dream about the calamities that might happen if Dev sees her. She gets off the bus midway while Shashtriji was asleep and goes back to Vrindavan alone. Keshav spots her in Vrindavan sitting sad by a lake and tells her she should go to see Vishakha as America is very far away and she may never get to see her again. Dev who was a bit happy to be meeting Radihka finally because her voice matches the voice of his love, is disappointed to not see her with the Shashtris. He calls her and tells her how disappointed he is to not meet her as now he'll never get to meet her because he is not coming back ever. Radhika is convinced by Kanha to go to Delhi alone and see Dev one last time at least from afar. The night before the Raj Purohit's abhishek Purohit ji sees Arjun in a drunken state outside the mandir celebrating with his friends. Radhika who comes to Delhi on the day of the abhiskek gets conned and is lost but Birju spots her. He makes her promise to tell the truth to Dev and she agrees on the condition that she'll say it when the time is right. Birju brings her to the mandir where the abhishek is happening but there Purohitji declares Dev as his heir leaving everyone shocked. Purohitji explains why he had to take this decision. Dev takes his family aside and refuses to accept the responsibility as he wants to leave for America. As Dev is leaving angrily Purohit ji has an attack and Dev is devastated. Amma sees Radhika in the crowd and blames her for being the apshagun that caused Purohit ji's death. Dev holds himself responsible for his father's death and decides to take care of his family responsibilities as his father had wanted. During the funeral, Briju asks Radhika to go to Dev and console him but Dev tells her to leave him alone thinking that he is imagining Radhika near him. He blames his love for her to be the cause of his father's death. Radhika leaves crying. Dev convinces the Shashtris to stay a few more days in Delhi as it will be comfort for Vishakha. Meanwhile Vishakha is frustrated that her dreams that would have been fulfilled by Dev if they had gone to America will no longer happen. She confronts Dev about his promise to her but he says that she should no longer hold him to that promise as he has decided to be a husband to her in every way and give her the happiness she wanted from this marriage.
