My comments :
The meeting was very disappointing and heartbreaking. It was not at all what I had hoped for or prayed for.
Mrinali at times looked upset as well about Purohit ji's death. That shows me she actually is human too from inside and just circumstances have made her what she is in the Purohit house.
I know Vivek is handicap but why was he not given a chance to participate in his father's last rites? Is it not his right to do so as a son?
Dev has decided to stay back that's great, now Radhika has more of a reason to not come infront of him as he has told her to leave him alone forever so how and when will they meet? What will happen when they do??
Part 1
Show starts with everyone crying and gathered around Purohit ji's body. Dev walks up to do his final rites and Purohit ji's body is carried towards the cremation ground. Everyone is following them and crying. People are throwing flowers on Purohit ji's body from their houses. Radhika is in the crowd too. Amma spots her.
Part 2
Amma asks Radhika what she is doing there and pulls her to a corner. She tells her it's better if you leave for Vrindavan right now and leaves. Radhika says sorry Amma I can't listen to you today, I have come here to follow my duty as a wife. I want to meet him and console him and give him my condolences. Today I am not worried about any apshagun or the society.
Purohit ji's body is laid on the wood and everyone is crying. The rest of his body is covered with wood. Shashtri ji gives Dev some wood to do the same and he covers Purohit ji's face with it. The pot filled with water is broken, Dev walks around his dad with it finally breaking it. He lights the fire to the body. Vaishali breaks down and everyone else cries. People start leaving slowly after paying condolences to the family. Eventually everyone in the family leaves as well and only Dev and Birju remain. Birju asks Dev to leave but Dev says you go, I want to stay here alone for some time. Radhika is hiding behind a tree watching all this and crying. She starts walking towards him with her Kanha idol in hand.
Part 3
Radhika is walking towards Dev and Dev falls on the floor shattered. She runs up to him but stops before touching him. She says please control yourself. If you break, who will take care of your family? Who will support them? Dev looks at her in surprise. Radhika says don't you want to prove to your dad that whatever he decided was right? Dev stands up as does Radhika. Dev says why did I love you? Your love only gave me pain and nothing else. Because of your love, I decided to go far from my house and my country. In trying to forget you, I forgot my responsibilities. I forgot my dad's dream, because of your love I became so heartless and selfish that I didn't see my father's pain. Radhika is crying while Dev is telling her all this. I couldn't see my father's helplessness or anything because I never saw anything except for your thoughts. Dev turns away from her and says your face, your voice, drives me crazy. Don't ever let me remember you after today, I want to come back to my senses. He turns towards Radhika and says leave me alone, I want to forget that I ever met you and he turns away again. Radhika is crying and looking at him helplessly. She goes to touch his shoulder and stops. She turns and runs the other direction while crying. Dev turns around and tries to look for her. Dev says you being here is just my illusion again and in my illusion I said all those things to you that I did not want to say and he falls on the floor heartbroken. He says I have to break all my illusions and dreams and move forward because it is because of my dreams that the dreams of my own have been shattered that's why I will have to live for them that too without your memories.
Chacha is telling Arjun that we are the biggest fools if we don't use this opportunity to take over Purohit's stuff so now you watch what your dad will do. Chacha walks up to Purohit ji's picture and sits infront of it. There is a gathering of people mourning his death. Chacha bows his head infront of the picture and starts banging his head on the floor and crying. Arjun runs to him and stops him from doing so. Chacha says I feel like I am an orphan once again after he left. How will everything happen? Who will take care of it all? Chacha says to Daadi, I don't know why Purohit ji decided to give Dev the rights of being his successor, he knew Dev had no interest in all this, he just wanted to go back to the US. Now how will everything happen? Who will take care of all the responsibilities? Daadi says why are you asking this question right now? This is not the time for all this. He says yes the timing is wrong but the question is right. He says tomorrow when Dev goes back, what will we do? Who will follow the traditions? Dev says I will. Everyone is shocked! Dev says I have decided not to go back to America. Everyone is shocked and happy except for Vishakha, Chacha and Arjun (well Amma too looks upset). He says I will fulfill the duties my dad gave me. Vaishali and Daadi are very happy. Chacha walks up to him and says I know you are saying the truth but you don't know how big of a responsibility you are talking about accepting. Why are you agreeing for no reason Dev, why? Chacha says to Daadi, he wanted to leave until yesterday, today he is talking about staying back. He says you need to have a firm mind to uphold such a big responsibility. He says you need seriousness to do this. He says today you are promising to fulfill it but if you go abroad tomorrow then what will we do? He says no we can't trust you. He says my duties have increased many folds after Purohit ji left towards this house, towards the work and towards you too Dev beta. Chacha says Dev beta, your dad put the tilak on you to stop you from going and I will not be able to see that you kill your dreams just to keep the honor of such a small matter. Chacha says it is my age now but you have your whole life infront of you. You have your future, your dreams, it will be better if you'.Dev says no Chacha ji, I have thought of all the good and bad before taking this decision. I agree what everything you have said but I want to prove myself in the eyes of all these people and myself. He walks up to Vaishali and sits infront of her. He says I want to prove that before dying the decision that my dad took was not wrong though I disappointed him while he was alive, I don't want to hurt his soul by shunning the responsibilities. Vaishali, daadi and Vivek are all happy. Dev prays to his dad's picture and says I want to assure you of one more thing, I no longer have any relation with the reason I had for leaving this country. Everyone is happy, Mrinali, Arjun and Chacha look confused.
Precap : There is a knock on the door and Shashtri ji asks Radhika to check who it is. She goes to open the door and is shocked.
