Yo! This is a sequal of sorts to Hum Tum, my other Meet oneshot. Ravzie had commented on Preet's effect on Meher, and well, I couldn't just let that lie now could I? Blame the plot bunny.
I recommend hearing 'Khuda Jaane' as you read this.
Enjoy!

Meher fiddled with the packet in her hands, wondering where to hide it. If Preet saw it, she shuddered to even think of his reaction.
"Meher!" her husband called, startling her out of her reverie. "Hand me a towel, could you?"
"Ek minute!" she called back, hurriedly keeping the packet in one of the drawers by the bed. She picked up her towel, and grumbling at Preet's forgetfulness, went to give it to him.
Five minutes later, Preet had came out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist, and his shirt unbuttoned. His hair was damp, and he was attempting to fix one of the buttons on his cuff. Not wanting to bother his wife, he decided to try and sew it back himself. He began to search the room for the needle and thread he knew Meher had kept in the room due to his habit of breaking buttons. (She did not need to know that he did it on purpose, loving the concentration on her face as she would sew the button back on.) He paused when he came across a packet. Curiosity won good manners, and he ripped the packet open. Horror dawned as he realised just how devious his wife was.
It was a very angry husband Meher faced when she re-entered the room to call Preet for breakfast. The fact that he was still half-dressed did not take away from the full effect of his fury. In his hand, he held the contents of her packet.
"Uh-oh," Meher whispered.
"What is this?" Preet demanded, waving the photos.
"Photos?" Meher chuckled, she could not help it. He looked rather cute like that.
Preet frowned. "I know that Meher, but why do you have a collection of embarrassing photos of me?"
Meher shrugged. "For fun."
Preet blinked. That he had not expected. He made a face. "You are not showing this to anyone."
"Yes, I am."
Preet smirked, "And how are you going to keep me from getting rid of them?"
The low, throaty chuckle that emanated from his wife had him swallowing nervously. He was not entirely sure Meher knew exactly how that affected him, that laugh should be made illegal. He slowly backed away as she stalked towards him. The small smile on her face, and the gleam in her eyes took away any doubt he had about her not knowing her effect on him. Oh, she knew. She knew very well, and she was taking full advantage of it. Preet hit the edge of the bed, and losing his balance, he fell backwards. Meher leaned down towards him, and, wide-eyed, Preet could do nothing to stop her. (Not that he wanted to, not the way his thoughts were going.) She slowly arched upwards, and, much to his surprise, blew in his ear, before whispering, "Now we're even." Breaking into giggles, she grabbed the photos out of his hand and ran out of the room. Preet was left lying there in some shock, trying to gather himself.
By the time he reached the dining room, Meher had already distributed the photos among the family members, all of whom were chuckling. Only Meher had spotted him, and she blew him a jaunty kiss. He chuckled slightly at her boldness, shaking his head. His wife was one-of-a-kind that was for sure. He leaned against the door, watching as she explained how she had managed to get each photo, and as she laughed along with everyone. He winked cheekily at her when she looked up again, confused as to why he had not joined the group. She turned back to Kul Di, cheeks stained pink, before, with embarrassment on her face, she looked at him, and winked back. The matching smiles they wore did not leave them even as Preet complained loudly to his mother about his wife's bullying, and Meher attempted to hide behind her sister.
