Bidaai celebrates Taj Mahotsav
Rajan Shahi's Sapna Babul Ka-Bidaai has been roping in actors for special appearances to keep the audience glued to the show. Hema Malini will be doing a cameo as the judge of a dance competition. The other artistes pencilled in for cameos include Shweta Tiwari and Anjali Abrol (Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat fame) who will dance at the Taj Mahotsav on Aaja Naachle title-song and taal se taal mila from Taal. Manini Misra (as the anchor of Taj Mahotsav sequence), Vivan Bathena and Manish Naggdev. The Taj Mahotsav sequence will be instrumental in the meeting of protagonists Ranbir (Kinshuk Mahajan) and Ragini (Parul Chauhan). The episode will be telecast on October 13. "Shweta and Anjali are performing special dance numbers at the Taj Mahotsav in Agra. I have decided to bring in two contrasting actresses, in terms of their looks and personalities. During their performances we will introduce Manish Naggdev and Vivaan Bhatena who will be seen in a special appearance in the show

This is what I question - if you have a popular show then why do you need to rope in so many actors??😕 in my opinion if a serial is doing well ( and it is, from the ratings and the fact that its going to increase by another half hour) and why do you need to advertise via Telly Buz and SBS on a daily basis...its a bit of an overkill and its like any other Saas Bahu saga..me no understand. Same with BKACN. And our poor serial.. we have to bombard SBS before we get anything???😔

I just saw this thread.
You know Shafu - i agree completely with you. In fact i have been dying to say the same thing about Bidaai for such a long time - but just didn't ant to hurt anybody's feelings😛
I watched a coupleof episodes of Bidaai - never could get it why it is so special??? well it is almost same as those that kekta churns out by the dozens. and the two protagonist girls - whenever they r on some show or interview always seem so fake - really irritating!!!!
I can understand the popularity of Balika Badhu - it is really good.
But Bidaai - why tell me why????😡😔😡
Why does it get 1 full hour when sadhna got married??/? i daresay we will get even 5 mins extra when raja ki baraat actually will come knocking at rani's door.
and now 1 hour of Bidaai everyday? Kekta should really fight a case and ask for extensions or her serials as well

Shafza and belissima both of you said what i wanted to say. I find nothing special in it to get a TRP 1. I dont know what message they want to give through this show (sorry no offence to anybody). Every girl's sole aim is to get married. It looks so ridiculous. Sadhna and Ragini both look so fake.
As far as coverage in SBS i think its purely a marketing strategy. A considerable amount of budget is dedicated for such type of publicity. Same is the case with kekta shows and DMG and now Balika Vadhu (yesterday only i happen to see this, and its actually damn good), they are covered on daily basis. Its obvious SBS gets something in return. I think rkab's stingy producers dont pay attention to these things.

Kirti, Anu, Beena, and Shafza, I agree with you guys. I was quiet so far as I did not want to offend anyone, but now since you guys have written, I thought even I should write what I feel.
From Sara's wig catching fire to Parul falling down on sets (both main female protaganist in Bidaai), every single small matter of Bidaai is covered by tellybuzz. And in RKAB, we have a new entry like Bhushan and when do we come to know about it, directly when we watch the episode. Thank god finally RKAB producers got some brains and allowed Kanjali to participate in NB, otherwise they was barely getting any publicity. It was only after we bombarded SBS with our emails, that they covered RKAB couple of times. SBS should atleast once a week cover RKAB. And I have never seen any article written in tellybuzz about RKAB. I mean this show since past couple of months has always been in top 10 position when it comes to TRPS, but still it gets such less publicity. I dont mind if they publicize other shows, but why do they miss out on RKAB all the time. We barely ever come to know whats coming up next or whats going on, on the sets. I guess once Kanjali gets more famous through NB, SBS and tellybuzz will start to cover RKAB more often.
But in case YuRa are getting engaged next week, I would be really mad if SBS or tellybuzz did not think it was important enough to cover this piece of news.

Ok. I feel safe now, because I wanted to say a few things about Bidaai...

First off, Bidaai's base concept, the whole Gora/Kala thing, I feel as though this is highlighting a very ignorant and closed minded India. Also, the fact that marriage is also one of its core concepts is very narrow. I won't lie, I do watch this with my mother, however, I do it so I can figure out whey the hell it is so popular. I hate how the dadi refers to her daugher in law as "Veeno ki bahu" I find that VERY degrading. She has a name and an identity, refer to her as such. There is way to much rona dhona, that is also really irritating. Also, their villans have no motive, for example, the evil people in RKAB are evil becasue they want to be the owners of the castle, but what does Avni really want? And why the hell is Vasu the way she is, she treats her bahu who sacraficed everything for her like trash.
On top of that, off screen, Sara gives off a "I'm a better then you" attitude. Parul (the darker one) seems fine.
Also, I can care less if they have injured their selves on the set, I mean, is it really THAT relevent to report EVERY freaking thing that happens their. I think every member of every other show feels the same, I mean, if the serial is one of the "top ten" in India, they should all get the same covarage.
Shows that I have never heard of get more covarage then RKAB.

I think when compard to Bidaai, our show has ALOT more simplicity, a pure story line and not much melodrama. Bidaai is just like an Ekta seiral, without out bad breakups and their a little less twisted....overall, I hate their core concept dealing with marrige/colour/caste/sexism ect ect....It gives of the impression that India is addicted to shows that promote ignorance...

Hope I didn't offend anyone. This is just what I think about it.

Tashmin, I dont care if they cover Bidaii or any other show like the way they do , but my problem is why do they cover RKAB so less, like as if it is not that great a show (though TRPS say just the opposite ....and they should visit this forum to know its popularity). Since Yudi came to know about Rani's reality (June last week/July 1st week), this show has only gotten better and more interesting (minus BB track). And since then, SBS has covered it only 4 or 5 times. Now from July to October (4 months), this is really less. And as far as I remember, tellybuzz has not covered it even once. Now this sucks. They need to come to this forum and see how hungry we are to know more about RKAB behind-the-scenes.
