Kamil Mishara | Player of the Match: Pathum said to just play normal game, take your time and do your things. Very happy to win a game for the country again. I believe in my strengths and work hard for it.

Litton Das: I thought we lost the game in powerplay. Wicket was pretty good to bat on. 170-180 would've been a different game. On a good wicket if you score 140, you have to bowl and field well. We didn't do that. Do or die (against Afghanistan). Thanks to all our supporters. Wish they come again and watch our game.

Charith Asalanka: That was a dream start with two overs, two maidens and two wickets. That is his main weapon, the googly (Hasaranga). Even we can't pick him properly. He's a superstar. Once we got 120 runs, we realised that we should finish it as soon as possible. Brilliant support from the fans. Even Bangladesh fans as well. Want to thank everyone who supported us.

9.57pm So a comfortable win in the end for Sri Lanka, one setup by their bowlers and then finished comfortably by their batters. Pathum Nissanka once more was at the heart of the chase, with a blistering 50 off 34, and he was kept company by young Kamil Mishara, who punished Bangladesh for an early let off with a 32-ball 46. There were some late wickets, but the result was well in hand by then. Earlier, back-to-back wicket maidens set the tone for the Bangladesh innings, one that was only salvaged by an 86-run 6th wicket stand between Shamim Hossain and Jaker Ali. For Sri Lanka's bowlers, even though Matheesha Pathirana was expensive, Dushmantha Chameera and Nuwan Thushara were miserly as ever, while a wicket-taking return from Wanindu Hasaranga rounded off the perfect start to the tournament for the Lankans.

Congratulations to SL for their emphatic win against Bangladesh.

Such a comfortable win for Sri Lanka. Kusal Mendis went early and the drop of Nissanka by Mahedi proved costly early on. The partnership between Kamil Mishara and Nissanka all but ensured Sri Lanka were home. A couple of late wickets came but that was all academic. Sri Lanka have coasted to a win with 32 balls to spare which will give their NRR a big boost. Now Bangladesh have to beat Afghanistan to hope to progress to the next round. Today they were well below-par in the field and with the ball. Rishad's horrible over summing up the way they bowled.
