She clearly has a mental illness but drugging your child so he doesn’t learn the truth about what happened that night? Sorry no. I know she loves Vikrant but a mother’s love does not give you license to cause irreparable harm to your son. She knows she has a problem. Why not talk to your husband? I loved the symbolism they used throughout the episode. The writers dipped into their own content quite wisely.
If there's one thing about this show is nothing is random... everything everywhere is connected.
Mukta knows very well how to tap into the audience... so the quack doctor turned out to be an Ayurvedic Doctor probably to pacify TRP aunties who believe in alternative medicine and power of prayers.
There was Mannat traumatized due to the thunder... but her BKBs words gave her strength to sail through this toofan... literally and figuratively... Mannat fought with her inner demons throughout the night and willed herself to save Vikrant. The magic of prayers be it Gurbani or Ronnies call for Vikrant's safety or Gurav Baba's prayer ... Vikrant got better in a matter of few hours.
ManVik are now becoming each others BKB.... With their bond, it looks like Mannat will be the one to help him fight his own demons when he is made aware of his truth

His half awake state where he sees an anxious Mannat gently caring for him and him reaching to cup her cheek was a beautiful parallel to the freezer situation where Vikrant did the same for her. Even in his half dazed state he could make out the comforting touch and latched on to her in panic ... small detail but so powerful.
Ronnies car delay meant Mannat could care for Vikrant alone and he got to see his janam peacefully sleeping on his chest
. His first instinct to check his surroundings and her shows his alertness and protective spirit... that sweet smile on seeing Mannat nuzzling closer to him was too good (putting a pause on all the 18+ khayals here

Neetu comes in and pulls Mannat away and then the infamous slap situation happens at Saluja mansion ...

I wrote earlier that I felt bad for Neetu...
The writers and creatives are totally focusing on Nature vs Nurture angle on this show....
There's Neetu who is not biological mother to Vikrant yet her maternal instincts are so on point, she senses the danger for him but doesnt realise it is herself ... unfortunately these might also be the key to Ronnie turning against Mannat
and then there's ARS who literally wishes to kill her biological daughter... simply so that she continue with her lavish lifestyle.
Another reason is... Neetu is clearly suffering from some mental illness.... and its unfortunately not diagnosed. Keerat Raveena and ARS... all of them know about her weakness and they are manipulating her on that ... for their own personal gain. Neetu's possessiveness has now turned into a paranoia.
In previous episodes... ARS blamed Neetu for breaking the engagement... Keerat blamed her for not choosing Malla and preferring Mannat... Keerat also played on her fears that Vikrant is making memories with Mannat and not her .... Raveenas threats are well known and now Malla has smartened up on this game too and behaves like a good girl in front of Neetu.
All of them are actually cruelly playing with Neetus fragile state of mind and twisting her thoughts... putting her into a rabbit hole.
... Neetu was always introduced as a bit crazy, all the ladies are now openly targeting that weakness of hers.
I absolutely do not agree on her drugging Vikrant... but she has gone beyond rational thoughts... Neetu did not break the engagement... it was Vikrant who refused to go ahead and it was not because of Mannat... there were no such feelings in him then for Mannat. He simply did not want someone like Malla as his wife....
now all the ladies are trying to make Neetu look guilty and Mannat as the cause of it which serves both their purposes ... which the disturbed Neetu is unfortunately projecting on Mannat... she blames her for causing trouble for Vikrant when she forgets it was he who wanted to go to Ratnagiri, not Mannat.
Only thing I didn't get... and since this was different in OG is... Mannat is not the one who is bringing back his memories... there's no connection like that...they could have changed it... but as I said... Neetus fears are legitimate... unfortunately Ronnie will agree with her too ... When Mannat explained Vikrants morning breakdown he looked shocked and probably thought that Neetu is after all right.
thankfully he still finds time to thank Mannat and ensure her safety.
I am no doctor or psychologist but the Shalini track resolution gives me hope.... I hope Mukta addresses this that mental illness is not to be taken lightly... any kind of odd behavior needs to be taken into serious consideration.
Neetu is not that different from Shruti who went to lengths to hide the truth from Mannat, both the adopted mothers have this fear and immense love for their children.. but that fear is making them do wrongs, questioning their own nurtures ... Neetu is quickly losing a grip on reality and I hope the makers have some plan for this... a situation like this where she is harming her own son who she loves so passionately is not a thing to be ignored.
They need to make some kind of statement on this somewhere in future!!!!

And any woman who raises her hand against another - when she has no right to do so - especially someone else’s daughter? Not done. Especially when that daughter has her own mother in a hospital bed and saved your son’s life!
Mannat is being shown as the scapegoat for all the crappy choices these women have made. And make no mistake they were choices. And with those come consequences.
