Bruh, shelve it. smiley22 That's what I do if I come across stuff that's triggering for me.

It's not worth the anxiety to put yourself through it

I knew about the trigger warnings but I didn't know the ML himself is the abuser. The only reason I picked this up was because one of fav actors is playing the ML in the drama adaptation and I couldn't hold back my excitement smiley8

Hey Shirsha,

I’ve read Tell me your dreams a long time ago, your summary helped me recall it. I’ve marked your post as Matured because it spoils the whole plot for people who haven’t read the book. Please edit your post to add ‘ spoilers ‘ in extra large font for people who would want to avoid them! Thank you!

Have you read Primal Fear? It has a similar premise though books are vastly different. It’s a thrilling legal drama

No, I didn't read it.

Should I delete the portion of book's summary? I can do that if you say so. I didn't know sharing spoilers wasn't allowed here. It wasn't my intention to spoil other people's experience of reading books. Actually I thought nobody was going to read Tell Me Your Dreams because everyone already selected different books for the reading challenge.

Well it’s not explicitly stated that spoilers aren’t allowed but it’s a courtesy. In case someone who hasn’t read it comes across it, it ends up spoiling the entire plot of the book. That’s why I was asking you to mention that your post has spoilers and to proceed with that understanding

Then should I delete the summary? I already added the word, spoilers in extra large size in that post.

That’s fine then, no need to delete the summary.

Okay

I will not share spoilers anymore. Actually I was excited so I shared the summary. But I really didn't want to spoil the enjoyment of other people.

Diya, I can totally understand what you meant. I didn't finish books many times. I've a habit of not finishing books. smiley36 Apart from that, I'm a very slow reader. You can start reading the genre which you like the most and I know your favourite genre is supernatural fiction. You can pick up fast paced supernatural love stories or supernatural thrillers. And don't pick up lengthy books. Once you think you're progressing with supernatural books, you can shift to another genre which may interest you. It can be psychological thriller or horror. I know you write stories on IF. And in order to a better writer, one needs to read books. If you read books, you'll be able to understand how to build suspense and create right atmosphere in stories. You can also understand how to show emotional turmoil of characters. So, reading books can be beneficial to you. You can start slow and read 5 pages a day.
