PBKS vs CSK Probable Best Performers

Probable Best Batter: Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas-Iyer

Shreyas Iyer scored 97* (42) and 52* (30) deliveries in the first two games. Against the Royals, the Mumbai batter hit two boundaries before being dismissed for 10. Shreyas has looked in sublime touch and would want to bounce back after the rare blip in the last game.

Probable Best Bowler: Noor Ahmad

Noor-Ahmed

Noor Ahmad's performance so far in IPL 2025 has been a silver lining for CSK. The Afghanistan spinner has picked up 10 wickets from four games at an average of 11.80. He is the current Purple Cap holder. He will hold the key through the middle overs for the visitors.

For the first time, I predicted an other team to win instead of CSK smiley19 I’m not watching the match — they’ll decimate CSK what with Punjab having really good openers and bowlers. nahi dekhni match. If CSK wins, good for them smiley27

Even my selections are from Punjab...

Punjab has a good batting line up same goes for their bowling

Only a miracle can save us... Csk matches seriously le

I am going with Rutu for POTM (kiya pata comeback ho jaye)

pm A lot can happen over a cup of coffee four hours of IPL cricket. On Saturday afternoon, the Punjab Kings were one of only two unbeaten teams, with solutions for every possible quandary. But the night changed fast, raising questions and serving a reminder of their dire home form - both of which could be amended and bent to their liking tonight, but remain unanswered at the moment.

Crisis and the Chennai Super Kings, meanwhile, have often not been mentioned in the same breath, let alone being used close together in conjunction. But this season, characterized by chopping and changing, crushing defeats at Chepauk, and the creaking of a canoe that has historically caressed over tumultuous IPL waters, has their fans dreading a calamitous campaign.

But life, they say, is not about how hard you can hit, rather about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. And so, over to CSK to channel that spirit. To reignite that eye-of-the-tiger sparkle, to brazenly demonstrate that never-give-up mentality and to reiterate that this storied franchise - of champions, comebacks and clutch moments, and of resistance, resilience and renaissance, has yet another riveting rear-guard revival up its sleeve.

CSK have had a torrid time in the initial phase of their campaign. They won their opening against MI at home but since then, they have lost their way with three losses in a row. They have conceded more than 180 in all of their last three games and their batters have been found more or less wanting during run-chases. The visitors have struggled with their opening partnership so far and that might push the case for their skipper, Gaikwad, to promote himself to the top of the order. Gaikwad has flourished as an opener for CSK and that might be the best suited role for him. The visitors have variety in their bowling attack but their batters need to step things up if they are to revive their campaign. As far as recent history goes, PBKS have won five out of their last six games against CSK and that holds the hosts in good stead. Toss and team lineups will be announced shortly...

Expect plenty of yellow in the stands today. People mostly buying Jersey No. 7 outside the ground, Gokul Gopal further adds...

Gokul Gopal further adds: Trevor Gonsalves, PBKS assistant bowling coach, said at the press conference yesterday that the team will be making one change, without specifying.

6:35pm While we build up to the toss, do hop over to the earlier game, which is right in the balance. LSG put 238 up at the Eden Gardens, but KKR, led by captain Ajinkya Rahane, are hunting them down.
