What is being missed in your interpretation is 'consent'!!!!

The FL in the other show consented to having a ONS... it becomes a r*pe when its non consensual which is what happened with Shalini....

in both the cases there was power dynamics and the male had higher position of power.... but whats different in the other show is the FL ended being the one wielding power....

I am not criticizing her decision to indulge in something like this... she was at her wits end... and had no other means apart from the one she saw fit to save her son... she did ask for a loan and sure she was pressurized into a ONS... but at the end she went along and did the deed even when the ML was doubting and asked her to rethink ... it was very transactional on her part... no emotions involved and on the contrary it was the ML who got emotional about it.

My opinion and perception for the event, show and story is based on how the FL perceived it... not because it was a ML who was redeemed. I found it liberating and empowering that she could rise above the false and shallow societal norms and did what was best for her child!!!! Never once has she shown remorse or regret over it.... doesn't even mention it on her own!!!

Episode was truly heart wrenching and being a woman so relatable.

Mannat was heartbroken when Shalini blamed her and refused to file complaint.

ManVik conversation was so heartbreaking. Mannat is right whatever happens only girl gets blamed.

Like it’s her fault. Why no one questions man for his sick mentality? TBH it’s so relatable right?

Every girl goes through this be it Eve teasing, groping in public places, passing dirty comments it’s a sad reality. Girls do keep quiet because they know, they will only get blamed for it. Be it clothes,her behaviour,socialising, her friends circle everything comes under scrutiny but no one cares for the actual culprit sad😢

Have to say this scene really made me cry. Ayesha was really brilliant here so was Adnan. His each reaction and expressions were on point. He didn’t say much but he conveyed everything through his eyes and facial expressions.🧿

Mannat is determined to find the culprit and I loved it.

So ARS did know everything about Bobby because Shalini told her so. First time I loved ARS the way she pounced on Bobby and started hitting him for doing this to Shalini. He actually deserved more kicking where it hurts the most for a man🤬Just for their business and partnership she is not telling Ronny and Vikrant. I am so disappointed in Raveena’s character. I expected at least she should’ve been angry at him for doing this and then decided to leave for London. Her reaction gave me a headache. How can any wife tolerate this? Her husband harassing girls and still she is okay with it pathetic 😡.

ARS the OG drama queen manipulated Shalini by offering her money as well as emotionally blackmailed about her brother. Threatened her in a way by saying Saluja’s are very powerful so no one will listen to you. Though Ronny and Vikrant are good but they will not go against family member. I really felt bad for her yaar! She was feeling bad for Mannat because she helped her but instead of thanking her she blamed Mannat for her state and she is succumbed to societal pressure.

So Derek is the one who informed Media about the incident happened in Mezbaani.

This Derek and Lakshya are really useless they didn’t clean the Kitchen properly and Mannat easily found that chain. She found the evidence and now will try to find the culprit. I really hope she remembers about this chain otherwise this will also get lost like Vikrant’s ring which she still didn’t give him back😜

Anyways as usual Media came for their food in Mezbaani i.e sensational news and TRP.

ARS tried to cover up but Mannat told the truth to Media. Loved her the way she completely change the narrative so it looked like ARS is indeed supporting. I simply loved ARS’s expressions look like she just wanted to strangle Mannat for ruining her plan.

Forgot I loved ManVik’s tiny moment when she pushed him out of the way to save him from Mud and told him that she will never allow anyone to malign his name❤️🧿

Malla another drama queen. How conveniently she put all the blame on Mannat for pursuing this matter without taking Vikrant’s name. Now Neetu will be more angry towards Mannat. Hate Mannat club is getting more members yaar! ARS/Neetu/ Malla/Raveena/Keerat after sometime Bobby will join the club.

In all of this I am really feeling bad for our Vikrant Kiddo. His dream is on the line and he can’t do anything about it at this moment. It was really heartbreaking to see him trying to wipe that Mud😢💔

Again Adnan was brilliant here🧿

Really looking forward to next episodes. Let’s see how Mannat finds out about that chain and a person related to it.

P.S. As I said today’s episode was really heartbreaking and everyone did good. For me today stars of the episode are Adnan,Ayesha and Mona. They all were brilliant throughout the episode🧿

I’m sorry but that’s the point you guys are missing. There was no consent involved in the first place because “the consent” shown in show was coerced out of her given her son’s situation. It’d have been consent had she agreed to ONS with ML had the son’s health not featured into equation. There was clear power dynamics + coercion involved in this scenario. It’s just it wasn’t shown as gruesome the way it’s being shown here doesn’t make it any less wrong

The way I saw it, I just found a woman robbed of her agency just to save her child, no different than that of being coerced on a g*npo*int. It was brave of her to choose not to feel dirty/ashamed of what happened to her the way normally SA victims feel but that doesn’t mean that what she had to undergo for her child was anyway liberating from patriarchal societal norms! The problematic aspect was the love story b/w the two leads

Also pls don’t take it personally. I’m no one to judge anyone’s choice. Just trying to understand the thought process, that’s it!

Mannat is really effected and has a long monologue about society, Ayesha was so good in this scene and the way society always blames the girl and the reason she didn't want to stay in his outhouse.

Vikrant explains that we cannot force Shalini and Mannat says we are forcing her to stay silent and she will not leave the perpetrator even if Shalini doesn't come forward.

ARS, cares only about Mezbaani and her stays nothing else. She paid money to Shalini to stay quiet and Shalini told her it's Bobby 🤐. This is quite realistic scene honestly.

Derek is the one who tells a reporter about the rape for money. This guy needs some kicks in the jail.

Mannat is in the kitchen and find the necklace and hides it in her pocket. Good job by Mannat here.

ARS manipulating and scaring Shalini what will happen to her brother. She tells Vikrant and Ronnie will never go against Bobby. Man Mona is so brilliant I can't praise her enough 👏👏. She pays 30 lakhs and asks her to shift to Dehradun. She threatens her if she changes her mind what Shalini and her brother will face is their responsibility and she cannot save her. Shalini feels bad of what she is doing to Mannat and is 😭.

Mannat decides to pursue the fight for Shalini even if Shalini doesn't want to speak. Not sure if this is good or bad honestly

There is a commotion outside Mezbaani and all run outside on live news. People attack Mezbaani and they are throwing stones. Reporter questions ARS how can she stay quiet being a woman. Someone throws dung at Vikrant and Mannat saves him. Reporters are mad, and ARS tries to lie again and they ask Mannat to tell since she works there. Mannat tells the truth and covers for ARS.

Mannat has brains definitely, and she uses the live news and reporters , platform to turn the tables on ARS. 👏👏. ARS finally accepts that they are taking care of the victim and they are cooperating with police. Mezbaani will make sure Shalini gets justice.

Malla tells Neetu Mannat didn't listen and did all the news drama inspite of Shalini not giving any statement. So, this Kaand ticket also is for Mannat

Bobbi and Ronnie decide to leave to London ASAP. How can Raveena even live with Bobby ewww this is disgusting ewww ewww ewww. These 2 are so so disgusting.

Shalini choses to not complain that’s her call .. he can’t force her what about the safety of his other female workforce .. is Mannat the only person he should be concerned about ..

We know it is Bobby .. and Raveena was planning to run away to London with him . But let’s say of Bobby choses to attack another female employee or guest in the restaurant.. what if a young vulnerable girl is assaulted ..

With power comes responsibility and also accountability

the owners of Mezbaani have failed big time .. first with the fridge incident now with the horrific rape ..it’s better this rape was reported in the news channels

The fridge incident was not .. now the guests can decide whether they want to patronise such an unsafe environment

No offense taken... I liked how they dealt with it and its interesting to discuss and question our ingrained beliefs...

Let me put it out differently... If the sons health and urgency in procuring money remains the same ...

but FL is asked to submit a design (since she is an architect) which she doesnt want to but will do nevertheless and gets the money ... will people judge it harshly???? Assuming everything else remains the same?

My point why are we or anyone associating it with morality just because its a deed not acceptable on societal norms??? She was a widow for that matter... and free to do as she pleases.... there was no adultery angle involved as even the ML was single....

That's why I said she questioned him if his guilt would be there in the first place if she was a single woman and just wanted that kind of money for a good life!!! The coercion you are pointing out did not come from the ML.... it was her situation which he at that point was not even aware of.

Exactly. I cant resist posting a reply even though it is unrelated, but what Bobby did is exactly what the other show ML did. Doesnt matter whatever development happened later. The consent was coerced in KA. The boss misused his power and exploited the employee. Everytime that show is mentioned I get creeped out thinking that the guy did not end up in Jail. Give the role to a middle aged, not so looking guy and I would tell you, y'all would start calling it as r*pe because the only determining factor is consent. If consent is given under coercion or pressure then its not consent. So yeah seeing the discussion of KA as some exemplary concept while discussing shalini case is obtuse on being purpose

I completely agree. To me the situation KA was in was no different than a s** worker being forced to do what she does for money. That does not mean she consented to it. She is trapped with no way out. Or actresses and models being forced to s**** with producers for roles. It is a crime. Misusing your power and money. Even in KA , when an employee asks for a loan, s** should never have entered the equation. I have not watched the show and have no idea of the redemption track, but this alone is triggering to me.
