MPHT and Mein were boilerplate bad (MPHT was actually pretty decent first 10 eps or so). Lots and lots of projects are bad like these two. I would say these 2 projects are within the range of bad most actors have in their portfolio. SMD on the other hand is outlier level of bad. It is set-a-benchmark-in-terms-of-awful bad. SMD is Showgirls, Cats, Battlefield Earth, Lovestory 2050, RGV ki Aag level of bad. It is the kind of bad top actors very rarely have in their portfolio.

In Mein,the main problem is with his role which was really bad as an A lister..MPHT was decent though the situations were dramatic but its still a decent watch and not exactly unwatchable

But SMD is unwatchable at another level..it will make you frustrated and you would actually want to bang your head trying to decipher the show..leave romance and entertainment,its not even trying to give a good message. This show has so many established actors but still it was a total disaster itself says that at the end of the day,script and direction is the king. If script is bad and the director ask all the actors to do OTT,nothing can be done with any drama. That's why I am saying Wahaj needs to shed off the thought process he is having that only producers and directors matter..nothing can be done if the script itself is absurd..

Usama has recovered himself by doing well in Qarz e Jaan..Maya's next project is also coming.

But Wahaj should be really careful..his script choice is actually bad..he doesn’t understand thr pulse of the audience unfortunately.

Let’s be honest, this was sold in Wahaj’s name and despite him having limited screen time, he is the one bringing in most of the views. This means if this was hugely successful and critically acclaimed he would benefit from it the most and conversely the failure lays on his shoulders too. The criticism will hurt the director, writer and actors the most. I think production recovered their costs and I really doubt this is as much of a commercial failure as people claim. Sure trps aren’t great but views count for something. They’re not extraordinary but still quite decent. I don’t feel like this is hurting production at all and I’ve always suspected that being professionals in this industry, they had to know beforehand that this project didn’t include all the bells and whistles for a mass commercial hit.

Wahaj has a loyal fan base and that means he needs to have a good presence in his shows. His fans are tuning in, in the millions to see him and it’s what they expect. That dedication and trust won’t last forever…he’s very lucky to have it. He was in Mein in many scenes but barely had any meaningful dialogue or a clear POV….he was completely sidelined. In SMD, he has a presence and a lot revolves around his character even when he’s not there. The problem is that he’s never there. He needs to balance having a strong, meaningful character along with ample screen time. Tbh, I could probably overlook the lack of Wahaj if those other scenes were interesting. The rest of the characters weren’t engaging enough…Ammar and Dania in particular. Maybe he needs to look at the scenes he isn’t in as well and make sure those are engaging as well especially if he’s going to go MIA for as long as he did…or better yet he should just make sure he’s actually in it for a decent amount of time.

As much as I complain, I might be the last one left who doesn’t mind the show 🤣 Seriously, I would stop watching it if it didn’t hold my interest in some way. TBH it’s only Ammar’s scenes that are getting to me. I made peace slow pace and the other characters don’t bore me as much. I might not like Humsha but I don’t even mind seeing her on screen.

I might also be in the minority but I’m liking the latest twist with Bilal ignoring Sadaf. He isn’t going about things in the right way, and I kind of like that he is flawed not just in bad habits but how he deals with people too. It felt like he was too reasonable sometimes and that’s not sustainable for anyone. They’re both a little unreasonable in their own way at the moment. I’m curious to see how his conversation with Sadaf goes. I wish the show concentrated on them more but alas we will be served with more crying Ammar and it looks like he’s there till the very end.

Hypno vs Wahaj fangirls is one drama I would love to watch . We need to launch this on X and GC.
