I am not defending him at all..even I m frustrated to see the only good character of the show to be missing from episodes....but I can understand what he was thinking while signing the show.

I agree with this. His character has more to offer than Zaid ever did so I can see why he chose it. But that part of it makes it more baffling that his screen time is so limited. Bilal Abdullah is an interesting character. Honestly it’s very weird to see how little he is in the episodes. I was prepared for equal screen time because I knew this was an ensemble cast. I was hoping for quality over quantity but this is a bit much. He’s in it the least over the course of 10 episodes or so. Nobody in production who were using his name so heavily thought this is weird?

Also I cannot believe how long that scene of Ammar waking up was in the latest episode. We see him sleeping, he slowly wakes up, slowly sits up, slowly stands up, slowly walks over to the seating area, checks his phone, walks downstairs, opens every cabinet, gets out a pot, puts water in the pot, turns the stove on, and waits while the camera lingers on his face. That was an entire scene. I get that they were trying to show that he expected Dania to call him but she didn’t. It could have been cut shorter. Meanwhile the airport scene was quick and I wouldn’t have minded if they lingered on that longer. I just don’t understand the thought process of having that long scene but not showing Bilal text Sadaf. Not showing what his reaction was to Sadaf returning to work and taking on the Lahore project. How did Sadaf respond to his text. Seemed like important things being left out. Maybe they’ll address it later

In Episode 31, she lied to Sadaf about Faraz and herself and continued lying by claiming that the person she loved (Bilal) was married. She keeps pursuing lies and schemes, as seen in the Episode 32 teaser. However, her downfall is near... When Sadaf and Bilal truly deepen their friendship and Sadaf eventually falls in love, they will undoubtedly discuss Hamsha. That will mark Hamsha's end. Hamsha will take the first blow when Sadaf decides to divorce, and that scene in the OST where she appears broken in the rain will come to pass.

She said Bilal was married? I thought she said the woman Bilal was in love with got married

Having written my entire rant, I am enjoying the recent Sadaf parts. I like that she’s taking a stand. I like that she’s putting in an effort to try and be happy although she breaks down at times. I like that she feels she deserves happiness. I don’t mind her scenes right now because there’s some character growth, things are happening and it’s interesting to watch. I’m even fine with Wahaj being MIA for those scenes. I prefer her fighting at least part of that battle on her own; Ammar is just stuck in the same zone of crying, showing up at other people’s houses and crying some more, being hand fed by Dania, walking around with his childish expression (his self-victimization mode). It’s all so repetitive and a drag to watch.

We are on the same page than...his character in SMD is the only character which is carrying the show...so imagine how impactful his character is even with less screentime and limited dialogues.

Omg that ammar waking up making breakfast was so damn unnecessary. Did we really need to see these scenes? That's why the views are dropping like anything..

I wonder what conflict there will be now. Obviously it’s not going to go smoothly. Sadaf has admitted that she regrets not accepting Bilal’s proposal and has expressed interest in moving forward with him (just not to him directly). This is a unique story since Bilal is the one with all the power. Ammar is literally dependent on him. If Sadaf admits that she also has feelings for him, there’s nothing he wouldn’t do to make that happen. He isn’t in a position where he could risk losing everything. Usually the good guy is the underdog and the bad guy is the one with all the power. It’s the reverse here. What can Ammar do to him here in retaliation? Nothing.

Sadaf wants to start a new life it seems...but I think she won't directly propose to Bilal this soon.

Why do I feel bilal will reject her now ? He may say she needs some ‘me time’ and may ask her to focus on Lahore project which she also wants same. Sadaf also wants to go to Lahore and focus on her career now so don’t think she will ask bilal or propose him now. What will ammar do in retaliation ? We know the answer ‘ drinking poison’ .

You think he will reject her? I’m thinking something will stop her from confessing to him. Now that I think about it, it’s probably why this is happening while Zaviyar is away. Sadaf is talking about Bilal and if Zaviyar was there and heard about it, he most likely would share it with Bilal.

What was the point of Bilal relapsing? Assuming it was put in there for a reason and not just randomly, it means he isn’t in a good headspace. Did that change for him seeing her all chirpy though? If she accepted the Lahore assignment, that must be hinting something to him or maybe he just isn’t taking her seriously about that anymore 🤣 I’m also assuming Zaviyar told him she moved back home. She’s been so back and forth though so maybe he doesn’t know what to think. It was cute that he checked in on her though.
