they didn't really like wahaj's drunk acting. but something they said really struck me. wahaj is doing some weird contortions with his mouth in several scenes. i really noticed it in that scene in e19 when he leaves the wedding hall and looks like he is in pain. honestly, the mouth contortions do look extra to me. but i do not understand why they are there. is that something drunk people do?

sudhar jaana is not redemption. it could just mean he will realize how much he effed up once sadaf leaves him and feel sad.

One thing I will say is that Bilal isn’t just tipsy drunk. He is super drunk and was becoming progressively more intoxicated as the scene was progressing. At the beginning, he was more like the average very drunk person, but it seemed like the alcohol was hitting more and more as the scene progressed. I haven’t seen that many people drunk to that point but I’ve seen a few. This is from holiday parties - I used to work in HR and part of our job was to make sure people got home safely. Most people were able to arrange their own Ubers/taxis. The really drunk ones, which were only a few, couldn’t even do it themselves. I’ve also seen a couple of super drunk people from my non-Muslim friends’ weddings. Their mannerisms were even more extreme than Wahaj’s. Although I wasn’t fond of Wahaj’s expression in the end, now that I think about it, it’s kind of realistic. The problem is that most people don’t see people drunk to that point.

The point is that...the scene was really uncomfortable to watch because Bilal was heavily drunk.. but towards the end it looked a bit OTT specially when he was asking Humsha about whom she loves..

Most of the female critics I feel can't differentiate between the characters and the actors..just because they felt that it was uncomfortable to watch hero being heavily drunk ,that doesn't mean that the main problem is in the acting.

Also,I think Wahaj doesn't drink in real life...so even if he went a bit OTT in the "heavily drunk" scene..its okay to ignore.

I personally don’t mind because I prefer it to a character being too perfect. It’s why I liked the anger too. It makes him more human and relapsing is very realistic. They didn’t concentrate on his journey enough, especially in recent episodes. So it feels like he just came back to start drinking again. Seeing him reaching for alcohol and earlier episodes but resisting because of the change in his life would have been great to see. I liked the scene where he was about to drink but thought he would lose Sadaf if he did and immediately stopped. Scenes like that, obviously with different motivation since Sadaf is married would have been effective post marriage too. Like just loving Sadaf and knowing she’s happy was enough to keep him sober. Unfortunately, they just forgot about him right after the wedding.
