Maybe for once stop the blame game, and look at the glaring holes in the drama? Acting, characterization, direction, story etc,…unfortunately good looking actors , dressed up well might work in photoshoots , but they have to connect with the audience through their characters in a drama.

100 200 or even thousands of people can't generalize the view or entertainment factor of the overall millions of people. people needs to first chill out its a drama. Its a sad plot with philosophical kind and an emotional one sided love, if its not ones cup of tea then better ine skips it. But yes all the chaos of sadaf and ammar relationship which is stretched a lot is so absurd. The character Bilal is undoubtedly able to connect to viewers as its performed well and also crafted well when compare to other which attract viewers. But sadaf character is definately compromised in the story a lot. Everything could have still have been ok if the drama wasn't that slow paced like delays after each dialogue. Also seems channel has made such to increase episodes and to make money as anyway viewers will watch for Bilal. Even true reviewers praise wahaj as BA who is the character carrying drama. Mimicry doing people and haters would definately go to extent to get views who even doesn't have knowledge on right critic. Nevertheless script has flaws. And writer director and channel trio is responsible mainly for making it such slow pace and not rectifying flaws in script. There are more crap dramas currently running anyway. Sadaf character as of now AFAIU is like a girl who in circumstances decided to marry one whom she believes loves her a lot and as many girl after marriage just accept as a fact that they love their partner and try to give 100% for the relationship. On the other hand Ammar started cheating and such men exists in society who cheats and still plays victim card and victimise themselves in return. I'm just waiting for sadaf to get out of his toxicity though.

NutellaWaffle, you are underestimating geo's oscar worthy dragging technique. They dragged fitoor till 45 episodes, 4 years back. Smd is not gonna end before 45, likh ke le lo. Abhi toh sirf dragging kar rahe hai, wait for the flashbacks to come in. 10 min ka flashbacks honge in 30 min episodes.

Mayas crying scene for epi 20 will come in epi 28 or maybe 29. That means they have dragged 8 to 9 episodes more. Also a lot of wahaj scenes from the teaser haven't even aired yet.

Maya’s crying scene has already come in 27th episode. That’s why I felt it’s seven episodes drag. If krq wrote 29 or 30 then it will be 37 or max 40.

One thing they could have done is show that BilSad are married at the first episode who would then have narrated their whole love story.

More than that, it would have given audiences more hope and patience.

I have watched Wahaj’s movie with KRQ again and noticed some things

- the female lead’s character is also named Sadaf

- her husband cheats on her too

- her mother gave her the same advice that Farzana is giving in SMD

I didn't mind e1 in theory. My quibble was with execution in e1. Especially in two areas:

1/ I think Wahaj overdid the drunkenness a bit. The eyes + slurring + stumbling, + constant sipping were all too much. Either they should have added a line that he overdrinks when he is in Pakistan because it triggers his past traumas, but is otherwise more restrained. Or they should have made him a more high-functioning drunk, as long-time alcoholics are wont to be, especially those that run multinational business empires and have to interact with investors and other dignitaries regularly and cannot afford to look insensate. Either way, they could have shown BA discreetly stumble as he gets out of the car and Naamdar holdimg him (discreetly) as he regains his balance. Naamdar could have been shown as his anchor /confidante - the only one who knows about the extent of BA's alcoholism but who silently provides his support to cover up his deficits.

2/ The first Bilsad contact was poorly set up. In retrospect, it was supposed to be a love-at-first-sight moment. But the leering and BA craning his neck to watch Sadaf cross the street was very gali-ka-lafanga-launda coded. The car bump was too remote. The accidental bump-in needed more proximity, more tactile to be impactful. Like Sadaf could still be not looking and bump into Bilal. Her books could have scattered on the ground. BA could have bent to help her. Their eyes could have locked. Their hands could have touched. But she could have just ignored him or muttered something rude under her breath to imply she isn't impressed. Her dupatta could have lehrao-ed as she walked away and touched his face (think SRK-Deepika in Om Shanti Om on the red carpet). There were a thousand ways to make that first contact really impactful and larger-than-life, and to justify why BA was so mesmerized, so much so that he was finger-writing her name and giggling in the next episode after hearing her name.

Bilal is back for just one week so I guess Wahaj would be missing in some of the next episodes again.
