I'm looking at stats of overall spectrum of stars with diff numbers, activity status, levels of audience response (from danish, bilal, fahad to hareem, nouman ijaz, saad qureshi, sherry, khushal, ahad, kubra, etc.) and even wahaj's own pre-smd stats. so i know how to calibrate and what bumps/blips to expect based on level of audience appreciation. so when i say i don't see wahaj's stats evolve in a way consistent with any noticeable audience appreciation (beyond own fans/critics/small base), I'm taking into consideration all these factors.

Definitely Wahaj will not work with geo for sometime like even after TB he didn't and after long gap of around a year he was seen. So let SMD end then after a year you can conclude anything. And TRP average may also increase to some more extent by last episodes though. And let me tell you kaddu team should have some basic idea about how many pak TV viewers would not watch the usage of alcohol and all . hence TRP being low is expected. And by the way channel would have already earned from advertising partners and all. IMO SMD drama can't be expected to get views like JN because it's not that kind of plot.

forget tb or jn views. it's not even getting jafaa or kaffara or khaie or ehram e junoon wale views. at this point, it's not even getting iqtidar or msm wale views.

there is no guarantee but producers invest and promote based on potential / expectation of something being a hit. kaddu did not invest big money in smd or get a huge starcast and promote it so heavily thinking it would be geo's 3rd biggest flop trp-wise in last 2 years or would get similar views as shiddat. and if you think kaddu did not invest so much in it with the hopes that it would be a blockbuster or a superhit at least, i have a plot to sell you on the moon and a nigerian bank account where you can transfer me the money.

If this was such a disaster, I would expect him to wrap it up quickly and try to get something else in the time slot as soon as possible to avoid any more losses. The fact that they slowed this down further and have even shortened the time of the episodes means they are still profiting off of this. Their YouTube gains must be more than making up for any loss in tv ad revenue, if there is any. I’m saying this as someone who runs a business. It just doesn’t make sense otherwise.

Bottom line, I can’t believe that kaddu is so stupid that he doesn’t recognize the elements that make a hit. It doesn’t even have to be a good story but it can’t be draggy from the moment it starts, take forever for the leads to start their story or have the main lead go MIA for this long.

They can't replace SMD yet because they don't have their next content ready. DeN is finishing soon. If SMD also ends now, they don't have a 2nd project yet to replace it. Geo is trying to salvage whatever last pound of flesh they can from its carcass. Other existing projects on air are doing similar so they won't gain anything by replacing it with something existing.

This project was made with overconfidence. With arrogance. Kisi ne aqal nahi lagayi. I fully believe Haseeb was given too much free hand and content dept was sidelined (Marie baji behaviour is very unusual). The end result is what happened to Joker 2.

Kaddu may also have thought KAM3 or JN ka formula yahan bhi chal jayega. KAM3 also did not have many Feroze Iqra scenes nor much romance, and Feroze was in one sided love through most of the show. Kaddu thought the way ppl loved Feroze ka devdas twist, they will love Wahaj ka devdas too, and give this 3B views too. JN ke baad toh he thought ke agar 80% ss sideys ko de do tab bhi log dekh lenge if they see some DT at least. Ofc it backfired in this case.

Such dramas will not receive that praise and all from stars and all. Less viewership and hence less response too. KAM and SMD are totally different. SMD more focus on side leads in SMD and pathetic script, slow pace to make 2 episodes from 1 is its killer and done by channel mainly. they are still fetching views even after doing such tactics only because of Wahaj and they including reviewers knows it well.so they're overall making money anyway as they are actually making more with less content. Also they already have advertising partner who would have paid hefty amount. Even if KAM kind of track is stretched to 50 60 episodes then it will lost its impact and views as one cannot do such games with sad vibes dramas. Also KAM also had initial happy vies couple interaction scenes which attracts viewers and develops interests. SMD doesn't have it. Just sadness from start. Channel team and director are responsible ones for not identifying the script weakness, torturing it to increase episodes and also for running it in so slow pace which lost the impact. And currently other dramas of geo are doing still worst. they need to upgrade their content team. And about iqtidar views, its in final stages , else it has same views as SMD. Over time SMD will surpass that views no doubt.

People talked negatively about MJ's views and trps here too but that show and cast is getting featured left and right in best of categories and will get nominated for awards when time comes. Critical appreciation overshadows flop status in the long run (just look at JBG).

Awards also have favoritism. Mostly awarded to associated people and also to one who attends shows. Hum also does awards just for their shows also an extra as show off. any channel can then do for their shows then. JBG the best project of year was not nominated in Lux awards all reviewers and critics were full of praise for Wahaj phenomenal performance and overall drama. Anyway in spite of pathetic script Wahaj as BA is praised by reviewers for his performance which matters. He was even considered as one of best actor by Amna Hassan in spite of pathetic script whereas Danish in spite of JN was not considered which shows individual actors performance no doubt will be appreciated and matters and also its only him bringing them views. And to maintain stardom even mass projects are needed. Many mass viewers watch drama as entertainment and not for script or something and there is nothing wrong in it. people have their own lives to face reality and serious stuff.

Name one actress who doesn’t get hate and not shamed for anything and everything under sun.

For now Wahaj should just stay low and focus more on selecting good script.

But still these people who hate are literally bunch. mostly maybe few toxic fans or random toxic people of other celebs who can't see others getting famous. one can get if they see upvotes on reditt for that it will be max in 100 and all. what matters if some 1000s also have hate when love they get is from a lot. Thats reason celebs don't concern about those haters and they shouldn't. But I feel dragging of other actors is normal like with other male celebs people do usually but when its maya its taken to next level. Hope he gets and opts good scripts. nevertheless he has aced the role of BA with such pathetic plot. And looking at overall content coming very few are good ones. And when famous celeb lands in not so good script then it creates so much noise as its only bad thing, everything else is some super duper. 😂

Maybe for once stop the blame game, and look at the glaring holes in the drama? Acting, characterization, direction, story etc,…unfortunately good looking actors , dressed up well might work in photoshoots , but they have to connect with the audience through their characters in a drama.
