The pitch and the seam of the ball wears off over the course of the innings as overs are bowled and hence it gets easier to bat on...On Aussie pitches , It is almost impossible to play the initial few overs when the ball is new and hard and seams ..Hence wickets are bound to fall initially unless you play exceptionally well ..

That is the main reason why Rohit opted to bat till No 8 with washy sundar and reddy ... In australia, it is a given that the tail has to wag else it is trouble ...

If MCG gets drawn and we win at sydney , still it must heavily downpour in Srilanka during tests against Aussies. There is no way SL can win or draw as their team is so weak compared to Australia.

But Miracles do happen ... let's hope for the best. 😃

329/7 was the highest chase by India IMO In 2023 ...Now I expect Aussies to give us a tgt of around 350 runs...

Possibility 1 . Indian openers give a solid start middle order collapses, followed by resistance by tail enders.

Possibility 2. Indian openers fail , middle order solidifies , tail enders sustain a draw ...

In all , I don't see India throwing the towel easily ...
