Abhira/Armaan fans can give a neutral opinion regarding their acting skills/character but other actors are perfect? Sam's portrayal during Abhir's identity revelation was bland & should've been followed by shock, disbelief & denial but it wasn't. It was followed by expressions of being shocked and overwhelmed for 10 seconds with amazing dialogue "aap toh secret keeping ki champion nikli mama" instead of dialogues like "nahin aise kaise ho sakta hai" "main nahi manti keh mera koi bhai hai" "meri mama mujhse jhoot kyun bolain gi?". It's not Sam's fault that she wasn't given these dialogues or her shock/disbelief didn't last for more than 10 seconds as instructions to hold expressions are given by directors who were seemingly on bullet train to wrap up Abhir's identity reveal in a single episode. I haven't seen a single daily soap actor/actress who never gave a bad performance. Sometimes the emotional drama is too repetitive that it loses its essence. I personally liked very next episode's Abhira-Ruhi scenes where Abhira asked her "tumne mujhe kyun nahi bataya keh mera bhai bhi hai" Sam was good with her voice modulation and emotions so was Garvita with her silence and calmness.
Even veteran actresses like Anita Raj mostly gave impactful good performances but few of her performances weren't as convincing.
Garvita was bad in all Ruhi's trauma scenes where she had to portray Ruhi's panic attack & her acting during 7 step plan was too bad. But she was exceptional in scenes when Ruhi was left at altar & when Ruhi got to know about her baby's death. These two performances stood out.
Sam was exceptional during Abhira's IR & during the scenes where Abhira collapsed & had to portray trauma of a woman who is dead inside after Ruhi's "tumhari maa key karmon ki wajah sey tum maa nahi ban sakti". She was good during KC scenes & pregnancy conceal & reveal. Her portrayal during "I hate pyaar" wasn't convincing for me. Abhira's motherly emotions for her bsp are connectable.
Rohit was exceptionally good during his confrontation scenes with Dadisa, he was too good in car/rain scenes (pregnancy revelation). He was also exceptionally good during Armaan-Abhira's post-divorce confrontation scenes. Rohit has given too many exceptional performances specifically him as angry young man.
Rohit and Sam both were too good during Armaan-Abhira's post-divorce confrontation scenes.
Shruti as Vidya was good in portrayal of a step-mom who hasn't completely accepted Armaan or blames him for her miseries, when she was introduced initially. The bitterness in Vidya towards Madhav and Armaan was well portrayed, but later on her character & the actress starts being overly expressive or dramatic. Her character downgraded alongwith her portrayal. Even now she is good in normal or taunting Abhira scenes.
Shruti as Manisha is good in spitting facts or crisp dialogue delivery. Her scenes have impact even though her body language can improve in fun scenes.
Saloni has improved a lot from Dev-Charu track to molestation track. She was too good in portraying Charu's disgust, emotional breakdown, fear and then newfound courage as a girl who was molested by her fiance.

The book to me is more scary, you do know there was a movie too on in 2022. British so that mean you're watching it on Masterpiece Theatre
