See even we agree that the pace has been very slow, too much importance is given to frivolous things plus leads have absolutely no scenes together. Like how do you make your audience hook or root to the show when there's absolutely no interaction between the leads?

If the outdated story is getting a 7 trp at aganist a gaint trp gainer like bismil, I don't think it'd be much difficult for them to get a double digit rating at a non competitive Sunday slot.

The shows which have okayish ratings but no YT views, the shows which have average ratings and yet pretty good YT views. Who is to say which one is clicking with the audience.

The shows which can garner both ! Solid views and solid ratings are the ones that truly click with the audience!

Rest, obviously also depends on the slot and the channel's GRPs. But the ones that can get both are the ones tha truly click with the audience.

MPHT and Mein werent masterpieces either. Both had the same issues but audience didn't mind Wahaj with Hania or Ayeza compared to with Maya. SMD began with very low trps which shows audience weren't really interested in them.

It is indeed an old school love story. Also, I don't think any actor has the capability to keep getting views every episode despite the content being trash..if that wad the case then SRK would have never given a flop in his career or any other popular actor for that matter! Popular actors can pull the audience for the first few episode but the audience sticks around only if they find something in the content.

MPHT and Mein had a more commercial appeal tbh, they were not as slow paced as SMD or had that old school vibe...So, a bit unfair to say that Wahaj and Maya do not click. I don't think the pairing is an issue. In fact many are waiting from the two to unite and their love story to start, many complain how they are getting less of them and want to see more of the two. But then again that might not happen at least anytime soon coz it's more of a one sided love story.

Didn't know JN was leading with 5,6,7 trps its a big thing. And it gained momentum towards the end because of masala story and tropes. If smd has that to offer, then only it will gain trps as well as more views. Snail pace and less combination scenes of leads can do nothing
