Also why did Arjun not connect the dots ( Sayali attacked, Pratima attacked). It is against his character not to connect the two incidents.

Yes, he should . Writers should also handle that mystery angle surrounding Sayali fears of speeding cars , anyone coming close to her physically and her hearing the voices.

May be Arjun can connect all dots after he confesses and knows Sayali too is in love with him. Their confession and bond can move story ahead.

So , let their love case close successfully 💗
