no it’s not that….it’s too show his deep love for Abhira and that she’s everything to him. I’ve seen this in Naamkarann..that couple AvNeil..had one of the best love stories I’ve seen on itv. It was deep deep love and Neil did so much for Avni..helped her solve all her issues and it was big issues,..social,issues, family issues, legal,issues, identity issues, etc. anyway towards the end of the show after a painful, 10 years separation when Neil apologised to Avni ( even though he wasn’t really at fault as circumstances caused him to be angry at her),, he also fell at her feet and apologized to her..actually todays scene of Armaan falling at abhiras feet looks exactly like the scene in Naamkarann..and Neil wasn’t a man who had childhood issues ..he was a loved son and a competent strong police officer. but that scene was of a man apologizing to a woman who was everything to him..because Neil.also used to,say..that without Avni there’s no Neil..and here was well..Armaan only started living when abhira came into his life..he didn’t know true happiness before she entered his life. So it’s a heartfelt sincere apology from a man to the woman he loves above anything else.
