Love Taare Zameen Par - that kid is a gem and I hope he finds success as grown up and Aamir is golden Aamir here (and not the pretender from Laal Singh Chadda). But I find song Maa emotionally manipulative - esp after contestents from a dozen reality shows singing it and everybody crying.

Messaging is beautiful but the kid didn't have to win the painting competition - just the fact that he rediscovered painting was beautiful enough. Winning makes it all about external validation and goes against the message
