Bilal has a masters in playing bechara characters, Qurban, O Rangreza, PKS, IM & now MJ. What’s amazing is that even though the characterisation seems similar he has played them differently. He changes his body language, dialogue delivery & adds different nuances as well.

I wanted to smack Shabbir’s mother when she was telling Aliya that she’s also responsible for her talaq. She was all about how it’s death for Shabbir to let her go to another man but she cared a damn about how Aaliya was feeling. She was constantly manipulating her into how the man would be her husband & she shouldn’t hesitate with what will follow.

I had tried to read script from Sabeena’s post earlier & I misunderstood her scene with Ibrahim. I thought she was eloping with Shabbir but the scene had a different meaning altogether.

Ibrahim is as helpless as Aaliya. That cruel Shabbir slapped the poor boy. I, however, liked how Aaliya shouted on him about him not taking a stand. Although he had tried to elope but stopped because of the Maulvi.

I loved the performances. Bilal has completely transformed himself into Ibrahim. Sabeena is amazing. Gohar is just brilliant. Asma Abbas is equally good.

Both Aaliyah and Ibrahim are very soft people. So it was hard to stand up for themselves. Aaliyah should have just left but ammi played on her insecurities that she won't be welcome in her brother's house. It looks like that accusation did have a ring of truth to it. So Aaliyah's choice was homelessness or being used for a night. It was so awkward and cringe to watch ammi suggest that Aaliyah pick any random guy she might have had a crush on if that makes her feel better. 🤦‍♀️

Ibrahim should have also walked. Yes, his leaving would have affect maulvi but when he didn't feel comfortable, he needed to look out for himself.

Maulvi tells Shabbir that alternate is repentance. He needs to look in the mirror for acting as moderator for this planned halala and also emotionally pushing Ibrahim very subtly. So, Maulvi's hands are just as dirty. He also needs to repent.

Ibrahim is shown to be such a meek and timid guy....just because he is an orphan or is it because he is poor?

Aliyah was scolding him to get his story straight and her husband slapped him for refusing to comply. It was infuriating to watch.

Shabbir's mom is such a meesni, she is those meethi churi person who speaks kindly to you and then backstab you. She is a typical raja beta's mom. For some reason, women who support such men make me more upset than men like Shabbir.

That Maulvi is clearly guilty, he gave them this idea to do the Halala. He should instead have counselled them that the marriage is over, move on. He clearly cares more about his power at masjid than his adoptive son

He should try mahaan roles similar to Farhad from BRKRJ

You guys probably discussed it before but I am still confused.

I thought in Hanafi school of thought, giving triple talaq at one time still counts as one talaq and the process is to have the three talaqs spaced apart with a period of reconciliation between 1st and 2nd and 2nd and 3rd talaks.

Why did they then resort to the Halala option?

I can see Shabbir and his mom thinking saying talak 3 times is triple talak but why did the maulvi not clarify? Instead of the maulvi condoning or putting up with a solution which is a major sin (planned halala), shouldn't he have advised Shabbir & his mom that there is an easier out (reconciliation after 1st talak)? At most, this would have been a matter of difference of opinion between different Islamic scholars rather than an action that is considered illegal by all scholars (planned halala).

Haven't seen the episode yet for today but based on last week the maulvi was just telling the facts when they were like their sure be another way and then he mentioned halala and they grabbed him only to get it done . I feel it is also mostly the fear of this guy and his so called ehsaans which they subtly reminded him of woth how he is a family member and all both Ibrahim and maulvi sahab are poor people shabbir thinks he owns just like Aliya since he has done some ehsaan on them and we'll he has the power to get them killed..

But why even mention Halal, if it's prohibited. Just avoid the topic, he clearly wanted to gain favours from Shabbir. If he wasn't a maulvi but just someone close to Shabbir, I woundnt have minded, but as a religious scholar you are just promoting an act of disobedience by recommending it

I Don't think so for me it is working so I guess agree to disagree caz the maulvi was pressed too to even suggest it as the only option after

I think he avoids such kind of roles. Look at this body of work, no one from his contemporaries has played such diverse roles.

Variety of bechara characters 😂

He has shown such versatility that his each character remains different from other.
