So he gave her two options: ask Moiz to bring her mother with a proposal or marry Numair.

Then the whole Moiz didn't unalive himself guilt trip they played.. its like her family along with Zara hoped he was dead so Deebu's marriage would have one less problem to deal with.. like they were disappointed he wasn't dead... Deebu's family/extended family are horrible sh*tty people...

Moiz and Andaleeb were just young people in love, if people had let their relationship progress organically, they would have most likely grown out of it and got sick of each other's idiosyncrasies and broken up anyway...

the writer writes well for the regressive audience lol

Marrying off to a man twice her age cos she had a boyfriend...

Not caring for her mental health, they don't even deserve to have a child.

Yes, he cared about his izzat, but his izzat is his daughter. He feared that she would be exploited by his bf; basically, he was an overprotective father in the drama. This was already cleared when he talked to Deebu and Zara about Moiz. The writer wrote the drama like this; we can't change that. Also, I don't think he is a fully conservative person, as if he were, he wouldn't be ready to marry Deebu and Moiz.

if talking to a bf in the terrace is such a big deal, he should have been a parent and talked to his daughter about it..explained to her why it is wrong and why she shouldn't do it... parents don't bother about parenting and then blame the world for their kids turning that way and use the most illogical and irresponsible and cruel way to resolve it.. then act like they're absolved of everything and put the blame on the daughter's boyfriend for not killing himself..WTF..

the gaslighting of audience through this show is just disturbing.. i would rather watch something toxic being shown as toxic.. not toxic elements being glossed over and shown as the righteous thing to do... but hey middle aged husband ends up being not abusive so everything is good in the end...

Completely agree. Her dad not only gave more importance to his reputation by getting his daughter married off in a hurry to the first proposal they recieved; he also ruined Numair's life in the process. He could have solved the problem by talking to her openly about this matter n how he's not in favour of her having a BF in this tender age. He could have handled maturely ,but didn't.

Was she ready to listen? Or did she tell her dad what she could do to prevent this marriage? Did she tell her father that she won't meet him and she will only meet him when he sends the proposal of marriage at home? No, as she wanted to live a college love life with Moiz, which wasn't acceptable to her father after he saw them on the terrace. Correct me if I'm wrong, as I've seen only 1st 6 episodes yet. He didn't do this for self-reputation but to protect his daughter, and this was established in the first six episodes. If they changed this to'self-reputation', then it would mean that the concern that he had shown for his daughter was fake, or it would mean that his arc isn't well written. Also, people here are saying that what if Numair were a bad person? The answer is that her father did a full inquiry about whether he was a good person or a bad person before the marriage.

The same should go for Zara as well. Her parents would also have had inquired about Hasan before marrying off their precious daughter. But he's turning out to be a nightmare. Right?

I would say Andaleeb was purely lucky. She didn't die after taking the pills, she got married to the right person and as such didn't spoil her life had she run away with Moiz.

Talking to bf on terrace is definitely wrong in their society n I think Dee u knows it damn well... She doesn't need to be explained

His izzat is his daughter. That what makes him regressive. No girl should be their father's izzat. What crap.

He forcefully married his daughter. He has no arc except being a bad person.
