He takes care of Deebu, gives her support and I doubt he would change drastically in an episode. From the dialogue it seems he is encouraging Deebu to sort her feelings about Moiz. She might be married to him but what kind of marriage is it if she still thinks of Moiz all the time.

He was blindsided into believing that Andaleeb wants this marriage too. Zara, Deebu's parents and even Deebu herself everyone kept him in the dark only to find his newlywed wife committing suicide on wedding night.

It's not about the promo alone. I know he cares for her but obviously he has come to conclusions with the way Andaleeb taunted him when he dropped her at her parent's home about "rishta khatam ho gaya". Obviously, I'm myself probably jumping to conclusions before watching the episode but that is what every viewer does. We have our theories and expectations.

I don't understand why people think that Deebu's father is bad when it was all the fault of Moiz and his mother. Moiz failed to convince his mother to send a proposal, and that's the reason why Deebu was married to Numair. As a father, he couldn't take any risk, as any father would fear exploitation.

I agree that he is no saint, but the fault here is of Moiz and his mother. Furthermore, if he had been able to convince his mother to send the proposal, would Deebu's father have accepted the proposal and agreed to marry his daughter to Moiz, who is a student and not a self-sufficient person? This question is coming into my mind.

Are you saying that there is no remedy to this situation other than marry her off to the first person possible ? This family is shown as educated, upper class and he was ready to send Deebu abroad for further studies. What he did to Deebu was INSANE. He had a lot of choices before him but he decided to shove off his responsibility . Had he been a person living in a conservative village - I could understand his act but he is shown as someone living in Islamabad, educated with a decent amount of money. It's mind boggling what he did to a suicidal child.

What Moiz's mother said was 100% true from the point of view of single working mother. I doubt she even realized how serious Moiz was.

The only option available to him was to send her abroad, but whether he has that much money is, however, a matter of debate. Even if he was ready to send her abroad for further studies, but what about her current studies? He could not trust Moiz further because he had seen him with Deebu on his terrace. So he gave her two options: ask Moiz to bring her mother with a proposal or marry Numair.

Completely agree with your point of view here. Marrying Deebu off without her will just coz she was in love with her class fellow and planned to run away was such a conservative thing to do for people living in a the capital city like Islamabad. I mean, talk to her, maker understand your point of view, let her study further, send her abroad. There were so many things the father could have done and the only thing he thought of is get her married to someone so she can stop thinking about her bf.smiley37smiley39

He saw her on the terrace with his boyfriend at night when he and his wife were sleeping, and that was the trigger point. He feared the exploitation of his daughter; sometimes an overprotective father does such things. I'm not saying what he did was right, but he was an overprotective father, and he did that in fear, not because she has a boyfriend.

I really don't know how Moiz and his mum are demonised so much.. Andaleeb's parents didn't even give enough time, they didn't bring the rishta, off she gets married.. Moiz and his mum are being used as scapegoats by these sanctimonious A-holes ..

Then the whole Moiz didn't unalive himself guilt trip they played.. its like her family along with Zara hoped he was dead so Deebu's marriage would have one less problem to deal with.. like they were disappointed he wasn't dead... Deebu's family/extended family are horrible sh*tty people...

Moiz and Andaleeb were just young people in love, if people had let their relationship progress organically, they would have most likely grown out of it and got sick of each other's idiosyncrasies and broken up anyway...

he is a regressive with 0 accountability, his daughter kept pleading, tried to off herself but the man didn't care, only about izzat. should have died like all useless ptv fathers cos he is one useless excuse of a father who cared about his reputation than his daughter's emotional and mental well-being
