Madhav knows Abhira is in love with Armaan. He probably senses his idiot of a son has feelings for her too but is too blinded by his family love to see that he is destroying his one true chance at love. Much like Madhav himself did in the past. He does not want Abhira to suffer the same tragic fate of losing her love simply because her husband did not want have the good sense to stand up for her when he had to. I see this as his attempt at redemption, trying to set right a wrong to another young woman given he can’t go back into the past and change the fate of the woman he once loved!

Even in the precap, Abhira is still talking about Armaan and the need to fight her battles without his support. Her feelings for him run too deep for her to move on just like that and probably, she senses that his behaviour was reprehensible but somewhere there were external triggers. I think that is the one good thing about Abhira, she does not harbour grudges or hold on to hate. She is going to let go of the past and embrace Manish Goenka too when the time comes. This is how she is being written and I for one think that is an incredibly mature approach to life for someone so young ! She makes silly mistakes but when it comes to big things, she has a big heart and a maturity that far exceeds that of people much older!
