Today’s episode

Kathir didn’t want to go for engagement shopping but was forced to go by Saravanan, Meena had an important meeting at office but Pandian forced to take leave and go with them for shopping. Raji readily agreed to go for shopping when Pandian asked her. Saravanan and Gomathi were going to go anyways. Pandian stopped Arasi, Senthil and Palalnivel from going with them. All 3 wanted to go but only Arasi got her way while the other 2 were sent to Pandian Store to take care of it. At the rate Pandian decides when Meena should go to work and when she should take leave, she is soon going to lose her job😔

Not seen even Senthil buying or selecting something for Meena but this Saravanan seems to be a despo wants to have say in the saree the ladies plan to buy for Thangamayil

Anyway all the 3 guys - Pandian, Kathir, Saravanan got bored while Ladies- Gomathi, Meena, Raji, Arasi took a long time to select something So next week is all about Saravanan-Thangamayil engagement and their romance as released by Sharanya in her story

This track will only get eye rolls and annoyance as reactions from me. Looking forward to the latest promo to see how Kathir behaves with Raji as the promo doesn’t reveal much from his side while Raji is definitely falling for him.😀

The other scene between the brothers and Mama in the terrace when Kathir secretly texts Thangamayil posed as Saravanan though was done as a comedy, is not in a hoid taste. They literally made Kathir chat with Thangamayil’s sister both impersonating Saravanan and Thangamayil respectively. Hope we don’t get to see such scenes in the future.

Like how yesterday’s episode was devoid of Pandian, today’s episode was devoid of Thangamayil’s parents. Thank God for that as I cannot tolerate these 3 characters - Pandian, Manickam, Bhagyam in every episode, most annoying, controlling, manipulative and selfish characters ever🙄

That was soooooo bad. It is okay if they help Saravana type, but doing it instead of him without him realizing is pathetic. It reminded me of you telling whether Sudar will come between KR. Such a stupid scene.

I realized that they do many scenes for comedy but it turns out to be distasteful. Maybe it's the acting or the expressions, but the comedy tracks are either cringe or stupid like Saravana's shyness or Gomathi wanting her saree to be more expensive than her DIL's. I'm leaning towards not-good acting.

But the green shirts selected by Pandian and the boys knowing their father's fashion sense is disastrous, and subsequent reactions was

Also, the discount for Gomathi's saree was funny, I wish Pandian insisted on the discount where her saree would have been less expensive than her DIL's sarees.

Gomathi acting silly about the saree price and the discount and Pandian selecting the same color shirt for Senthil, Kathir and Palanivel Both these characters need to be banished from the show. Appo thaan indha show urupadum.

Also Kathir’s quiet gesture of buying clothes for Pandian and finally telling everyone at the tome of payment was nice, but why are they showing Meena’s reacting to it and impressed by Kathir. As fas as I know they are not paired in this show I don’t mind Gomathi, Pandian, even Aradi’s reaction but why didn’t they show Rajo’s reaction to it. Isn’t this a good chance for the director to show that Raji is slowly getting impressed by Kathir and starting to fall in love with him. What’s the need to show Meena’s reaction?🙄

Finally no comments on Thangamayil and her family’s scene. The girl seems shallow as heck. She is going to be the cause of rift in the family in the future and going to act totally opposite of Gomathi thinks of her. Just for saying Gonathi insisted that she will not be partial towards Thangamayil but I already sense that Thangamayil will get more respect and love from both these Udhavakarai parents than the other DILs. If Pandian respected Meena and her job, he would not have asked her to take leave for shopping.

I find acting of some of the characters like Gomathi, Thangamayil, Muthuchudar and sometimes Pandian to be cringe and below par. Kuzhali, Meena and sometimes Saravanan are OTT. Meena talks toooooooooo much.
Palanivel, Senthil, Raji, Arasi, Kathir are fine. I really like Vel family, hope they bring them back soon

As you said many scenes are cringeworthy in the name of comedy which I blame on poor writing and the direction is at its worst

Out of the 6 episodes in a week, 5 are about Saravanan, Thangamayil, their engagement, shopping and other nonsense, but will show KR scene just for 5 minutes in the last episode of the week but will run the promo to keep the audience hooked to the show. This is complete cheating on the team’s part, They include this teeny tiny KR scene every week for ratings only but will show everything else in a much elaborate manner You wait and watch, next week’s episodes will be loaded with Thangamayil-Saravanan’s romantic scenes. Makers are desperately shoving this latest pair on the audience for acceptance. There is a whole PR machinery running behind the scenes to promote this couple over the other 2. But the promo views in the Vijay TV Youtube channel says otherwise

Yeah, know what, I was so upset with Meena standing next to Kathir all the time. It is always Meena reacting to Kathir and Kathir responding to Meena. I know that KR's feelings have not yet started but they can at least show them together even if they do not speak. I'm fed up with Meena in every scenario.

This Raji is from the Vel family, I'm hoping she is not shown as naive (believing Mayil's family is good) but as smart as she was before the wedding. Also, hoping that when she develops more feelings for Kathir, she will bulldoze Gomathi, Meena, and whoever else to get close to him. Appo than Muthuvel poonu nu prove panna mudiyum.

I know. Was so disappointed with today's episode.

Tbh, the promo with the most views is Thangamayil's intro promo at the swayamvaram, though it makes sense as it was a new character intro plus Saranya's and Chitra's fans commenting on it.

But each promo, scene, or fan pic/video of KR garners so much interest and love. I hope writers realize what the audience really wants. While they can show all couple's arcs, they cannot give all of them the same value, KR was promoted as the lead and people are expecting the same.
