It's the fault of the makers.

Valmiki described her as human only who got attracted towards that golden deer.

Eh le episode khatam. Fast fast going

Precap ramji goes after golden deer and kills him and lakshman rekha appears

In actual Valmiki Ramayana it was not Rama but Lakshmana who recognized golden deer as Maricha but both didn't listen to him and Rama went to hunt down that deer
