Even if I think about it as a fresh audience I don't see much potential between Surya and Imlie. What will be the conflict between them? Again Surya and Imlie will not have any third angle. If Raghu's case is solved then it would be a smooth story for both Surya and Imlie. So there won't be any policeman - mujrim conflict between them.

Some thick in the head writers who think the show is working without August babu. Arghhhhh.
On a stand alone basis if I see only from Sai ka perspective, Imlie was a good deal -lead of a legacy show, prime time on the top GEC, best execution team, talented costars like Addy, Asma and Dadi. The best was the character he got to play. So much vulnerability, the 90s feels wale scenes and then also a completely contrast character like Surya. He got the best deal no doubt. His fans and the fans of the show are the only ones who lost sadly.
I would still say Sai got a good deal with August babu. Unfortunately it was short lived
