Agastya imlie ke liye toh Badi badi baatein karte the like they are Radha Krishna ( first episode dialogue Radha Bansi bajaiye toh kanha ka kariye and then Agastya is shown mouthing dialogue gussa) and Satyavan Savitri. Now what will they use for Surya Imlie . Does Surya have raw and destructive energy like shiv ji and Imlie will be his sati who married him going against her father ,in Imlie case it will be Chaudhary family

Hear me out..

The sole reason we are all so disgruntled is coz they showed flashbacks of Surya's childhood, which has cemented the fact that he is a different person.. Fair enough.

Now as a coping mechanism, to have our own mental peace, here's my observations:

1. Still believe, that Surya is Auggy is a twisted way.. Obviously the fake tan got away in the rain, and hence Imlie faltered in assuming that he is Auggy.. But on a serious note, you all remember, how we analyzed their first meeting, and Shreya pointed out that Surya didn't let Imlie touch his face and twisted her arm, so she couldn't recognize him.. While today, in her delirious sleep, she did touch his face, and said Akhrot Ka Chilka..

Toh 2 min ke liye wo flashback bhul jao, maanlo that a dying Surya told Auggy his bachpan ki yaadein, and hence Auggy had a hallucination, but he is the real deal...

But you know what I have realized! Everyday trying to analyze these scenes and making ourselves fake believe, is actually the real reason of all our collective heartbreaks.. Hence let's put a break on this for sometime, and I propose another alternative.

2. Let's give the show sometime for next few days for Sai & Adrija's sake.. They are brilliant in whatever they are doing.. Like me, If you all need some closure on Auggy's character arc or at least some redemption, maybe rewatch some of their scenes.. I personally binged all their scenes from starting till their marriage in the mandir, and now I am in a way better headspace..

Coming onto the progression of the story.. Very frankly, the makers are keeping it open at this point.. Baad me Auggy and Surya ko ek hi bata bhi sakte hai, and flashbacks ko bhi justify kar sakte hai.. Even Sai said in his interview that August might come back..

I was also going thru Reddit reviews of Imlie 3.. and whoever has liked the show so far, is cos of no negativity, infidelity, and also retro vibes and village setup..

In Summary : Would like to Quote Chabili (Imlie's quirky avatar):

Bharosa toh hai toota, but usne toda nai

Jo dikhta hai Jhoota, usne mooh moda nai

Sabkr ka peele ghoont, ye hot lassi (not sure if i m catching this right)

I see your point..I really do..but, watching old scenes is not going to fill the void of seeing them "Happily ever after" you know...the only peace of mind will be if Surya is Agastya...I don't mind if they keep teasing the audience for some more time also..but this out and out Surya ka diff character dikhana is very annoying and seems very unfair after they themselves kept all these open ends by not showing Agastya's face, funeral etc...

You know, the silver lining is still there- that chance that they will go back on this flashback and show that Surya is Agastya indeed...but how are they going to justify this heartlessly usko bahar karna? The harsh words he keeps bestowing upon her, the continous behen jaap..

I have been having this #SuryaisNotAgastya feeling for the last couple of episodes but you know how I convinced myself? One, they keep bringing up Agastya and how deep Imlie's love for Agastya is..I said they won't do that if they want the new character to establish itself..but today, I realized, they might just be using Agastya to re-iterate the sick fact that Surya looks like Agastya and that's why it's justified for Imlie to fall for him. Second, I thought, they indeed haven't shown any self-monologues of Surya after a couple of initial ones during his entry and there's got to be a reason for that..but today, they showed that dratted flashback and ruined that as well..

You know, if they want to show Agastya returning, they can't take too long with it...its just not going to have the same effect...it's good to tease the audience and keep that intrigue on but not too much, otherwise people will just tune off..and I am afraid, if something doesn't get revealed in the next week, that's what's going to happen..And bringing Agastya back after Surya-Imlie marriage and then using Imlie as a football while the family keeps cursing her either way is absolutely not going to work too...

I guess as some of you mentioned it's a Gul show at the end...I can never forget how she tried to cash on the IPK legacy with IPK3 where she used the name and Barun but cast a different FL..the show, of course, banged but still Gul kept shamelessly justifying her selection and attacking fans for their immaturity...Fans never said Barun and Sanaya can't act with other co-stars but using IPK banner and launching someone else was just too much..

If this is the channel interfering, I don't know what to say...this is why I hate SP...they just somehow ruin their serials and at the end all end up being the same versions of each other with diff actors...I have to say this since we are talking about Star...there was this beautiful serial on Star Bharat- Dheere Dheere se..I was quite impressed how they stuck to the original storyline and character arcs irrespective of the actual ratings..the show seems to have had a good run and I quite enjoyed it myself..cant SP also leave it's shows on their own and give them a chance to thrive for once???

at the moment I am even ready to accept a supernatural twist to justify Surya is Agasthya 😭

You know, all it would take is for them to show us a scene of his back again shirtless without the gashes. It could be one of 3 things:

1. That’s the real Surya, the rude one who isn’t injured.

2. Makeup dada forgot to put prosthetic on his back before the scene was shot 😂

3. They themselves forget about the scars and it becomes another plot hole.

They need to give some more clarity to the audience. They should have shown Agastya ka face in the funeral episode if they wanted to kill him off. Why did they show Agastya see someone before they met with an accident.

I have a crazy theory - or it may be me grasping at straws.

What if both Agastya and Surya are alive and in this together - no coma no memory loss. Both take turns depending on the need and play Surya the cop while the other is in hiding doing the investigation of who is behind Agastya ka life.

This is precisely the reason why one episode we feel this is Agastya and one episode we feel it is Surya, coz it really is like that. When the truth of the twins came out it was actually Agastya, today with the flashback, it was actually Surya, the laddu making was Agastya and being rude to Imlie for Malti is Surya. More like the plot of the move Deewane of Ajay and Urmila. I have been saying this theory from the start. Can the makers show this?

Shreya, I watch the episode as soon as it releases on most days unless I am busy with chores or work. I will tag you after a short summary everyday so you can decide to skip or watch a particular episode.
