The list I shared are some of the books I was reading. I did not say they were the Ramayan from 200 BC written by Valmiki.
Anyways. I really don't want to debate further because I really have felt rather disrespected.
Your wish to believe whatever you want. I am not here for the disrespect. I have read the nidra part in books that state they are based on Valmiki's Ramayan. You want to believe that; great...you don't up to you.
I also said its hard to post from Kindle.
This interaction has really put me off visiting this forum. ,
P.S. didn't I explain that Hindi wasn't my first language...why post something in Hindi without asking whether someone can read it or not?
That's like someone from TN posting Kamba Ramayan and asking someone from Punjab to read it. Or someone posting Valmiki Ramayan and asking someone from Indonesia to read it.
Take care.
You did say Ramayana was written in Brahmi. Not just that, you confused between Language and script stating Brahmi is modern day Sanskrit, I corrected you there
And I really don't understand what talked down to means. I was simply making a point, not even directed to you, you started making it about yourself
Also you were the one who claimed that Nidra part is in the book Ramayana (specifically mentioning Valmiki Ramayana when I asked which Ramayana, you didnt say then based on other works)
I just said that I have read Valmiki Ramayana (not the books based on it) and it does not mention Nidra part anywhere. The books you mentioned are simple retellings of Ramayana, something you or me can write too, and have 0% authenticity, those aren't even any scholarly work on Ramayana, and all state explicitly that they include folklore and other elements yet you want to believe it, do that, but again that doesn't change the fact that these can't be prioritized over Valmiki Ramayana and it's verses.
Valmiki Ramayana Will always remain most authentic work on Ramayana, much more authentic than Ram Charit Manas, the other books you mentioned aren't even in contention, still you want to believe those over actual Ramayana, do that.
See you don't need to post from kindle, now it's pretty clear you weren't quoting Valmiki Ramayana, but few random books, I had asked quote from Ramayana or at least from Ram Charit Manas which as it's clear you didn't have
And really you are the one making it about yourself. If anything it were you who were making statements like "believe whatever you want/I have great knowledge and study etc." Something downshowing others, and then you are saying like it's putting you off IF, that's surprising, a discussion can't be others accepting everything you say, especially when what you say is against the statement of one who is the basic source of that subject.
About the P.S. part, I didn't post anything in Hindi. The things I posted were Valmiki Ramayana verses in Sanskrit and the translation in English. Nothing was in Hindi anywhere.
I expected you to read the English part.
Be in Kamba Ramayana in Punjab or Valmiki Ramayana in Indonesia, people can read it if they are translated in the language of their knowledge
Lots of Greek universities teach Valmiki Ramayana there to Greek students, I have myself read Kamba Ramayana while not knowing even a single word of that language. That exact is the purpose of translation.
Not sure why are you linking knowledge of Hindi to reading Valmiki Ramayana
Anyhow I too am done with this, since you aren't discussing but just making random rants
